So considering we got the wrong runes, I went and looked up the last three runes at the end of the year of the runic calendar, which are Thurisaz, Ur and Fehu.
Thurisaz means Giant/Troll/Fiend/Monster/Devil, but is also related to the word "thorn". In more than one book about runes that I have read, the rune has been compared to images of cave paintings from the stone age, showing axes and clubs. The Thurisaz rune falls at the end of October and the beginning of November, the start of the first cold month and we all know from the story of Ragnarök, that in the end Loki frees himself and together with his children and the giants he attacks the world of man and the gods during the so called Fimbulwinter. As an old islandic rune poem says:
ᚦ Þurs er kvenna kvöl Thurs is torture of women
ok kletta búi and cliff-dweller
ok varðrúnar verr. and husband of a giantess
Saturnus þengill. Saturn's servant.
Now doesn't that sound more like our rapefugees? But lets look at the next rune Ur, the rune has traditionally been translated to mean auroch(Uruz) and connected to bull worship, but the origin of the word could also have been "water"(Ūrą). In fact the meaning of both can be true, as the connection of "water" with the middle of the rainy month November can be easily seen, but November has historically also been the month when European farmers butcher their animals before winter. In old Anglo-Saxon the November was known as Blōtmōnaþ(Blood Month) and in some German region the old name of Opfermond(sacrefice month/moon) for November is known. A connection can be made to the bloody battles taking place during Ragnarök and the sacrifices made by the gods to defeat evil.
At last we have Fehu, after the runic calendar it represents the fullmoon at the end of November and the beginning of December. Fehu means lifestock/wealth and while that seems confusing at first, one shouldn't forget that after the end of Ragnarök peace returns to the world, new gods are born, Baldur and Hodur return from the dead and the human pair Lif und Lifthrasir survived by hiding in the world tree Yggdrasil. Interestingly all runic poems related to Fehu warn of the danger wealth can bring, as an old Norwegian rune poem says:
ᚠ Fé vældr frænda róge; Wealth is a source of honeypot amongst kin;
føðesk ulfr í skóge. the wolf lives in the forest.
And old Islandic says:
ᚠ Fé er frænda róg Wealth is a source of honeypot amongst kin
ok flæðar viti and fire of the sea
ok grafseiðs gata and path of the serpent.
aurum fylkir.
All in all, I find these three runes more fitting for the situation of the rapefugee invasion and the desired end goal of worshipping the gestalt of Winter-chan. So I went and constructed a proper Binding rune from Thurisaz, Ur and Fehu and the result was surprisingly this nice borderwall looking thing.
