I can relate to all your questions and I've been asking these and more myself. It is quite a challenge to find anything worth your time and effort. The amount of absolutely deluded and egocentric characters in the "occult" is a huge deterrent. I had to pick from what was useful and what wasn't to form a solid framework. This is by no means easy.

I can tell some things that I've been able to verify to some extent. The "good shit" won't start until you "raise your energy levels" and gain awareness. There are more than a few ways to do that.

Dream Yoga, Dream Recalling, Meditation, Lucid Dreaming, out-of-body experiences, energy body stimulation, chakric stimulation, Kundalini, Dantian/Chi cultivation, Pranayama, Brainwave Frequencies, Trance, Visualization, Qi/Falun Gong, Tulpas -> stuff you can actually experience, mostly to develop the energy body, OOBE is paramount (you won't go anywhere without that), beware of disinfo

"Astral Projection" -> A synonym for OOBE. You will see this mentioned very often but many people will actually misuse this term for daydreaming/lucid dreaming.

"Shape Shifting" -> What actually describes something that is perfectly possible is now a buzzword for changing your form in dreams, or changing your emotions. The epitome of pseudo-occultism.

"Reality Manipulation", "Quantum *anything*", "Manifestation", Dimensional Jumping -> All possible, but mostly used in dishonest exaggerations.

"Scrying", "Divination", "Necromancy" -> More misused terms of self-important dabblers and charlatans.

Western Occultism in general, rituals, ceremonies, Right/Left-Hand Path, edgy Satanism, Kabala, Runes, Sigils, Shamanism, Paganism, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, every religion, Tarot, Astrology -> This is all placebo at best or inferior to better paths. At worst, it'll attract malicious thoughtforms through dogmas to keep you underdeveloped.

Aim for OOBE, the rest pretty much comes with it. I've seen the people who would disagree and say it's not needed or just some other skill among many. It's like arguing with blind people about what vision is.

There is more that I didn't mention like dieting, sleeping, cleansing, health etc.

try lori bruno and then read dion fortunes book on psychic attacks… take what you want from that… read about runes and follow history in myths and contemplate things like ancient mythology.. look at different accounts of civilization before the cataclysms.. how many have there been.. if you consider yourself and evolution, how did we think before we had words.. should you be able to just get it all in one go? should it be available to all? would that be wise? seek and ye shall find… and try not to be a dick about it

Most of the magic in this reality is being absorbed by… air souls… no, maybe better said, “vapor” souls..? Air and water, but not much of it.

Vapor souls are vampiric, but they’re not evil or parasitic. They’re constructs formed of our magic that are guarding us. Fully souled people produce huge surpluses of magic, enough to sustain many, many vapor souls. In this world, one of the ground rules is that fully souled individuals produce as many vapor souls as they can. It’s a compulsion. That makes this world something of a magic-draining prison, but it also makes it very stable as well as intensely unappealing and hazardous to nearly all other forms of vampiric spirit. They’re kind of this comically unshielded and weak form of magical life which becomes almost totally unstoppable in very large numbers. Nasty things that would literally fail to notice one vapor soul and effortlessly bust through thousands of them steer clear of Earth because nothing can be visible on the surface of this planet without getting drained to mundanity by millions of vapor souls.

To use magic in this world, you have to unlearn the vapor soul compulsion and reject the vapor souls you’ve already formed.

Yet this isn’t something to rush into, because it shouldn’t be clear that this is actually desirable to do. Vapor souls are people, if typically thin/simple/boring ones. Their existence provides a supportive backdrop to the lives of their progenitors. Even their magic-draining abilities are helpful: as much as we might like to do wild things, we are safer in a world without them. Houses burn too often to mundane fires as it is; imagine how bad it would be if random slobs were juggling fireballs on every boring evening. There’s also the problem that rejecting vapor souls will cede their influence to other souled entities - would you still rather have magic if you very literally had to retreat to a lonely wizard’s sanctum? You can’t let the vapors see your workings, and if people could tell vapors from the fully souled this question wouldn’t get asked.

It may be more productive to learn to interface with the telepathic umbra formed of the vapor souls you’ve formed already. Although this leads to nothing “flashy”, it can improve your quality of life and make vapor souls function like better people. The benevolent psuedoreality formed of your emanations and reinforced by the echoing choir of the vapors can be shaped over time to become more appealing to all involved… or at least most of the involved, sapient diversity being what it is.

Technology is magic after if has percolated through all the vapors. So if you want crazy-awesome powers in this world, study the vapor-reality to see where you can wrench power back into the system despite the six billion drainers on Earth. The interesting thing about this is that if you let the vapors have their turn with it, the results substantially reflect the functions of the vapor-souls: a little bit thin/boring, but excellently stable. So we can have magic back eventually if we’re patient and clever, and we get it back in a purified/filtrated form when we do.

There was something else I was going to say… It’s kinda hard to concentrate on these thoughts, hehe. Hmm… Ah, yeah. I had a better way to phrase this, but I believe I still have the gist of it. Be nice to vapor souls. They’re your buffer against other fully-souled people and the vast count of buffers belonging to you and others as well. If you mistreat them, the telepathic resonance from that will have them start building a reality enabling mistreatments, as if that was what you wanted, and the specific ones you mistreat will experience real suffering. They’re “just” emanations of the true souls, but they’re not NPCs. They’re more like people with magical potentials between 1% and -4%. So… honor them. This world is like a creche of the spirit where we too can learn the stability of the vapor souls.

As a child, I had a set of experiences which opened my eyes and curiosity.

I could tell a character in a game to die, and he would. (Sega Genesis, so no microphones)

I saw ghosts, and had a recurring visitation from one I've dubbed Bartholomew. To this day, just saying the name gives me chills and I can feel him.

I could will automatic doors to open from a distance (20 or more yards).

Those abilities it whatever they were have disappeared.

More recently, this developed. Started maybe 6 years ago.

I can activate my pineal gland at will, which causes an extremely annoying and sometimes overwhelming pulsating sensation in the middle of my forehead. Sometimes this happens at random.

Please, someone give me some direction. I don't know where to go with this info. I feel things out there, but I just can't… Touch… Them. I can't grasp what I know is right in front of me. I can't see it, but it's there.

Meditation can lead to that, but be warned, we are currently under spiritual alien occupation by an alien force looking to enslave us and use us as a cheap source of energy. If you grow your soul up to a substantial amount to be noticed, don't be surprised if they come knocking. Our lost religions taught these things. They taught that one had to sacrifice the most important thing they had, time. Instead, we're giving false religions and told that our old religions sacrificed people. I have yet to meet a psychic Christian.

On the Ouija board I was able to do some really cool Final Destination shit to people.

The demons in question explicitly stated that they were only able to manipulate people and their choices around the circumstance depending on conditions of righteousness. The more evil my target the closer to killing them I could get, but I still couldn't get my first kill in time before my partners abandoned me out of fear.

Car crashes, stair falls, people losing fingers at work, finding money in the street after a bank mysteriously closes, etc.
