I've been looking into spiritual stuff lately just cause and have come to where I don't understand what the point of anything is.

It's interesting and all but what's the point of it all? According to these there's no hell and we constantly reincarnate, WTF. I don't get it. So much pain and masochism? Why?
Is there actually something beautiful about this that I'm just missing and I'm being a ungrateful dick or…….
I'm sure this wouldn't seem so bad if it weren't for rampant nihilism due to media lying, and corporate products, such as games and other entertainment, and censorship of entertainment that's actually good (youtube), and it feels like there's not a damn thing you can do about it.
Inside both Code Geass and Evangelion Neon Genesis, the bad guys attempt to create a sort of hive-mind utopia where there is no pain and we all feel joy and understanding, but lelouch reject the concept and Shinji, though didn't stop it, refuses to join. But why, if the universe is full of pain why refuse permanent utopia, especially in our times where things have become so insufferably that that most common anime genre now is isekae because everyone wants to escape this world of bullshit mainstream media and uncreative sellout products?
