Is there a rational/esotericist explaination to this phenomena? It's pretty well known that when certain unspecified conditions are met, people can vanish off the face of the earth while they're asleep, and become impossible to locate until they wake up, at that point they will reappear laying in the location where they fell asleep. Apparently I had vanished while sleeping recently, I wasn't in my bed when my family member looked for me, so she assumed I had gone out and was surprised to see me when I came out of my room. My brother also disappeared while napping not too long ago, I checked every room in the house to make sure I was alone, because I was going to practice ollies in the hallway, and I didn't want to annoy my family with the noise, when I looked in his bed I was 100% sure there was NOTHING there, flat sheets, no movement, nothing, but sure enough, once I started popping my deck he came out of the room I was just in and asked me to be quiet.
I also think I've heard about people going to sleep, disappearing and waking up in another location, but this seems to be rarer and only happens to certain people.
So what is the cause of this? Some kind of unconscious astral travel? Abduction? Psychic cloaking?
