I recently read about this old as fuck story and got real curious after this paragraph:

>The Missing 411, interviewed author Dwight McCarter, author of Lost!: A Ranger’s Journal of Search and Rescue, who had a strange tale to tell about the Martin case. McCarter claimed that during the search for Dennis, the special forces units that had been called in had barely communicated at all with authorities, rangers, or civilian searchers, instead working on their own, as if they had their own agenda, and that they had been heavily armed as if expecting something big to happen. What could this mean? Another weird detail is that the lead FBI investigator on the case, an Agent Jim Rike, later apparently committed suicide for unknown reasons.

Has any of you fags more info about this? Was this actually paranormal or maybe some elaborate pedowood-style action?

Since when do wild men have magic powers? Why would a forest spirit even kidnap a kid? I've read a lot of these Missing 411 stories and this is what bothers me the most. Some of them just make no sense at all.

Has David Paulides found any link between the disappearances and cave systems? Caves come up time and time again in stories of "wild men" and other mysterious entities. I'm not sure why, it's just something I've noticed.

(Skip to 12:10 for the creepy sounds. Although the rest of the video is worth watching too, imho.)

Some old stories of wild men turned out to be just that: people who, whatever reason, had left society behind and gone hiding in the woods. But usually when someone talks about wild men, he means Bigfoot. They used to live in Europe too.

That noise occurred when he was next to the chute. If the air was circulating through the cave, it could be squeezed between those boulders like a whistle, added with the echos of bats chirping. That's my guess anyways but it sure did sound like chanting.

wow- didn’t think i’d see a casual mention of this case in the wild. i remember reading about it while driving through the smokies with my mom a couple years ago. a lot of the accounts I read had the common theme of a tall, dark figure carrying him away, though I’m not sure about the hairy part. I’ve still always gotten the idea he was taken by some kind of animal- iirc he was playing with some other kids during a picnic, went out of sight around a tree, and vanished. the smokies are famous for black bears which kind of works with the idea of a tall, dark, hairy figure- but they’re characteristically docile and remains would have almost certainly been found. Dennis was also special needs, so perhaps abducting him may have been easier? Maybe he didn’t scream initially? Very sad.

Some people talk about how you can't take your eyes away from the wild man or he will/can just vanish. Gone. And supposedly people have gonr out knowing this and after time they run into him and make it a point to not look away. Then yells and rocks thrown from behind them in an attempt to draw their attention but he just keeps staring . .. pretty soon he said it sounded like a small circus going on and he had to look….sure enough one or two other smaller wild men but turns to see dad again and gone. Turns back and the circus twins are gone too.

Ok and you know how there will be defined tracks and they put some badass tracking ninja on them and him and sheriiff pekotrain go off into the yonders to flush him out. …. but. … mid stride the tracks vanish and No wild man to be seen.

So my working theory is that somehow our conciousness is involved here. Wild man can obviously shift somehow. Dude is on the other side of the rainbow at times. But no when we have it in our vision or on the mind so to speak.

Same thing echoes here. All the 411 really strange cases the people are like … I don't know how he isn't right here with us he just was …. ' and multiple stories of kids being taken care of by the bear man (JUST happened again) or The hairy giant, not scared mostly, this kid didn't scream either. Nobody EVER sees them go….because they could not get scooped up or shifted or whatever scotty does…they can't do it when we see eachother. David talks about the people being found in the middle of the trail nobody saw them return. Or clothes on backwards and 2o miles away but barefoot and in good shape still (feet). It is dimensional. Take it to the bank it has something to do with our conciousness or awareness of eachother or you kinow what I mean. Best I got.
