Why haven't you become a Vampire /x/?
>death is of no concern to you, allowing yourself to enjoy the pleasures of life forever
>prey on the Lifeforce of the human cattle
>laugh at the retards who will never experience the Vampiric Condition
>wise elders who could have centuries of knowledge available
>get disgusted at the disease ridden "vampires" who actually drink blood
>learn to play humans like a fiddle and exploit them for money, power, etc.
>gain friends who will stick with you for eternity
>qt Vampire gf to go on the hunt with
>roam the night as whatever form you please
I feel sorry for the humans that are unable to evolve to the Vampiric Condition, and there are lots of them. I don't think you want to make the same mistake as them, and I wouldn't either.

Okay I'm reading it right now and it's such a blatant attempt to make money from angsty teenagers, that I'm almost tempted to believe the author is joking.
>you have to buy our vampire bible to become a true vampire!
>it's not enough to just read it, you have to buy it!
>the undead gods will know if you downloaded it for free! they can read your mind and stuff!

There's a finite amount of data which a human brain can store. Supposing that immortal vampires exist, we are still faced with the reality of a cap on the amount of data you could retain over the years, after which it would be physically impossible for you to learn anything new without losing old data.
With that said, if you stored data via other methods, you would only really need to remember where to get it should you need it, so you could compress a lot of that down into knowledge of its approximate location in a database. But you would basically just become an archivist after a certain point.

>There's a finite amount of data which a human brain can store.
What makes you think that? There are people who are able to remember everything. Sure, they're anomalies, but they do exist, which means our brain could have that ability too. We don't even know for sure that memory is physically stored in the brain (although I admit that it's very likely). It seems to be you're basing your opinion on something that is still up for debate.

The concept of the vampire as a sentient being is a 19th century literary invention, created by John Pollidori and popularized by Stoker. Genuine vampire legends portray them as revenants - as mindless, animated corpses that parasitized humans by night and lay dead in their graves by day. There may indeed be real vampires, but they're incapable of posting on /x/.

It's a question of the storage capacity of neurons within that finite space. There are people able to remember a great deal, sure, but they have to actually take that data in and sort it before storing it
I'm actually not talking about memory but about the concept of being able to effectively utilize hundreds of years of data that would have to start overwriting itself eventually. It could still store enough data for the vampire in question to be quite intelligent for quite a long time, but not necessarily endlessly. Memory would naturally warp with time and you would remember bits and pieces. In short, if I were a vampire and my intent was to become the biggest-brained vampire ever, the very first thing I would do would be to keep as secure and stable a journal as possible, while keeping a separate set of even more secure and stable journals expressly for important info. It's already a good idea for people and it's an even better one assuming you will be keeping track over a very long period of time.

It would be cool to be a vampire, but I guess you've gotta give up your soul and everything to be one. Not really worth a shitty eternity in some afterlife just to have a cool few hundred/thousand years on earth

vampirism is viable but too expensive for normal cattle people, even "basic" placental erythropoietin and stem cell transfusions cost millions $ a year, and at older age you still require organ transplants
of course the true elite also has human clones of themselves for constant supply of stem cells, organs etc. (if you believe we have a sheep clone in 1996 but almost quarter a century later there's no human cloning going on, you are a fucking retard)
