I read about palming in the book 'Invisibility: Mastering the Art of Vanishing' by Steve Richards. His theory is that the secret to becoming invisible is to make a cloud of electrons and use it as a sort of magic cloak. I'm simplifying it, he's actually a pretty smart and well educated man.

Anyway, before getting to how to become invisible, he talks about an occult technique to correct myopia (near-sightedness), and that technique is palming. You simply have to place the palms of your hands on your closed eyes in such a way that the hands slightly touch the eyeballs and block any light from reaching them. It's supposedly quite effective and was even used by the German army at one point.

I've had myopia since I was a kid and although it's not severe to the point that I *need* to wear glasses, it can sometimes be an issue. Of course I could just wear contact lenses or get the laser surgery, but I'd rather fix my eyes naturally if it's possible. So I've decided to give this a try, and we'll see how it goes.

I started yesterday and did 20 minutes. Today I did 25. I practice it while sitting at my desk, listening to Youtube videos. I'm going to update this thread regularly, and hopefully in a few weeks or months my vision will have improved.

Is this when you put slight pressure on your eyes using your palms or just putting your palms in front of your eyes? Also, what is the point of posting about this?

The former: the palms are supposed to touch your eyes. This is important because, in theory, what makes palming work is the flow of energy (maybe bioelectricity?) from the hands to the eyes.

I'm posting about this for two reasons: as a personal journal to keep track of my progress, and to share with /x/ this information, which could be helpful to some of you as well.

(Today I did another 25 minutes by the way.)

>if you cover your eyes you become invisible

Ah, yes, the toddler school of occultism.

That isn't what OP is implying. The two are unrelated.

I'm near sighted and on regular intervals I had people comment on me popping out of nowhere or scaring them. Did I somehow traded my sense of presence for near nearsightedness ? Also on another note i did had a wicken witch tell me I had an orange barrier/ aura witches curse. Someone with anything relating knowledge on the subject define wtf she was talking about?

Are you the kind of person who likes to walk very quietly and sneak behind someone while he's focused on doing something? Because that seems like the most likely explanation.

William Horatio Bates published the Bates Method in the 20s that was about palming and curing bad eyesight. Dude said the exercise was too relax the eye muscles since tension causes the bad eyesight. Nothing about electrons or anything like that.

He might have been right. I don't know who was the first to come up with the idea of palming. Steve Richards says that the Rosicrucians use a similar technique, but they use their thumbs instead of their palms because it's supposedly more effective, due to the way a person's energy flows in the hands and fingers. I wouldn't be surprised if Bates learned about palming from some secret society or some book about yogic practices, and then gave it a 'scientific' explanation in order to make it more acceptable to a Western audience.

Anyway, today I did another 25 minutes. Tomorrow I'm going to try an online visual acuity exam, so I'll have a measure of how bad my eyesight is right now, and then I'll repeat the exam every week/month to check if anything has changed.

Not him but it's gotten to the point where I purposely stomp and loudly clear my throat when entering a room and I still somehow manage to scare the living shit out of people by "sneaking up on them" half the time. I'm not a small or quiet man, I don't know why the fuck this happens. I also have really bad myopia but I don't see what possible correlation that would have with unintentional stealthiness

I think I read a short story about this. In the end the guy becomes completely invisible / intangible and basically forced to wander as a ghost. It wasn't the Invisible Man before anyone says that.

It's not correcting your eyesight because of electron clouds or some shit, it's the pressure reforming the shape of your eye. Nearsightedness can be caused by the eye being slightly oblong or football shaped and shaping them into a more round shape can help. If your myopia is caused by a misshaped cornea or retina, it won't work.

it's impossible to become invisible without also becoming blind

are you stupid or are you just disabled? do you even know how eyesight works?
