I was on another thread about lost knowledge replying to a guy who shilled the "Christians used military force to spread" meme, and one of the things I brought up was the aftermath of the Gaelic Irish converting to Christianity and the origins of Halloween. When I went to post, I got the freakiest captcha ever.

In plain block lettering, "TUATHA".

The name of the Gaelic spirits that haunted Ireland every Samhain until the church invented Halloween to ward them off. I typed the first three letters of the captcha and it just reset midway. After redoing the captcha I had to copy, delete, and repost my post several times because the site kept screwing with the formatting. First attempt turned the backlink into greentext, the next removed all line breaks, and the last disabled all italics and revealed the formatting symbols. After the italics failed I just gave up and left it as is.

Something already happened before with a post about a haunting at work prompting a "lady in white" encounter the next day in addition to the original ghost there, I'm starting to think we have supernatural lurkers on /x/…

That's what you get for being a Christian shill. The gods hate people who spread lies about them. You don't have to worship them, but you do have to respect them.

Yeah, I remember that. It was this thread: >>34488

There was also this guy >>35101 who saw a ghost in the mirror. After he posted on /x/ to get advice, the ghost got more aggressive. And before that, there was a guy who claimed to be a fairy and answered some of our questions. >>30369

I don't know who or what is lurking on /x/, but it's well known that paranormal phenomena feed on our attention. People who go looking for trouble usually end up finding it.

so how come they have to mess with captcha and can't do anything useful, like being mods or something

For paranormal things the opposite is true imho.

Because they probably have better things to do than moderating a Vietnamese finger-painting forum.

What makes you think that?
