I have decided that one of my goals in life will be to contact the gods. I will offer sacrifices and ask them to reveal to me their true names and history, so that I may know them. I have studied ancient religions but there's no way to know for sure whether the Egyptians/Greeks/Romans/Indians/etc had direct knowledge of the gods or if they were just retelling older stories.

I have reason to believe that religion was already corrupted back then. I firmly believe the gods exist, but who are they, really? What do they want us to do? Why do they tolerate our stupidity?

I've reached a point in my life where I no longer care about human society. Studying history has made me realise that there's no hope for humans. There are a few good individuals born in every generation, but as a species we're less than worms.

Are the gods just like us, except more powerful? Or are they better than us? I want to know them.

Do all the psychedelics you can find, the more dangerous the closer you'll get, they only say it's dangerous because they want you to stay away from destiny.

 No.29579

>>29576

Maybe I'll try psychedelics sooner or later, but I'm starting from the assumption that the gods exist on the same physical plane as us, so no drugs should be needed to communicate with them.

Sacrifices will get you no where, if the gods want blood they can kill anyone they want anytime, they can make anything happen so nothing you do will please them. In a similar scenario like time travel, everything that has happened will already have so by destiny you were meant to be there at that time to do whatever. Trust me drugs especially the most dangerous ones will bring you to them, there is no other way beyond that because there is nothing you can do for them.

 No.29596

Seems like a pretty shite idea. So you are just praying to whatever and sacrificing cats to whoever, what if the deities that do exist got mad at you for trying to talk to false gods so now they will never make their presence be known to to you?

 No.29600

>>29594

The point of sacrifices is to honour the gods, not to give them something that they can't get by themselves. Drugs would only work if the gods only existed in our minds, which I don't believe is the case.

>>29596

Who said anything about killing cats? I'm going to use meat bought in a store, the gods don't care if you kill the animal yourself, so long as you prepare the meat properly.

>what if the deities that do exist got mad at you for trying to talk to false gods so now they will never make their presence be known to to you?

I'm going to keep my prayers a bit vague since I don't know what names the gods want me to use. I'll pray to the gods of the sky, the earth and the sea.

Sure they may have really had their gods back then.

God is quite a relative term. Maybe we were nothing more than a mistake like the rest of them.

What if we found our 'Gods' and in the end it was just another lie? I mean, we ourselves create life and the Earth we live on. We even make up our own elements and have a basic, and advanced, cooperative understanding of not only our Earth, but the Universe. And we've found this all by ourselves, no spiritual guidance has told us where to look or what to think. It's something we've earned.

I'm not bashing your goal bruh, I think it's a fucking awesome goal, and if I had any advice to give it would be to consider studying ancient areas that were strictly tribal, like the Native Americans and some ancient African gods, not just the Egyptian ones. Just think tribal, before any outsiders came in with horses and advanced weapons looking for slaves, land, and jewels and whatever else. Did tribes battle one another over something a shaman said a certain God said, or did they battle over something else?

Spiritual tribal leaders were held in just as high regard as we hold priests and head monks these days, surely, but they didn't have a considerably strong historic presence over a politically established military and cabinet of elected officials. Those people followed what they could see, and they thought the gods gave them everything they could see and do of course. But where did those gods come from? I'm just typing to type. I'm sorry.

Sadly, I don't think anyone today has direct knowledge of the gods. I believe religion goes back to the time of Atlantis, 11,600 years ago. After Atlantis was destroyed, some survivors travelled to foreign countries and brought with them part of their civilisation and their history. The Atlantean kings became gods, their history became our mythology. Unfortunately much of this knowledge has been lost. Plato didn't finish writing his story, and the Egyptian tradition died, taking many of her secrets with her. By the time of the Greeks, superstition had already taken the place of real knowledge. I think the gods, or their descendants, are still here, it's just a matter of making contact. One of the problems is that information about ancient rituals is scarce and sometimes contradictory. For example, some gods wanted animal sacrifices, while others only asked for fruits and flowers.

Trial and error? Like other areas of paranormal phenomena, those best affiliated within their respective realms are most likely very, fucking good at keeping their identities… a secret..

 No.31769

Depends on what you believe a god to be really. I believe any one can become a god its just about knowing the universe, like mastering the chakras for an example. Unless literal star children can be born at random. You just gotta read and play it right, easier said than done though.

Good Sacrifices are stopping your animal bodies lusts for food, sex, violence, etc etc

So fasting, drinking water is a form of sacrifice as you're not indulging in food for pleasure reasons

No Fap is a form of sacrifice

Same with creature comforts we take for granted, i like the picture out in nature away from civilization …i think it could happen for you so don't sacrifice any animals just your own bodies wants and be alone and i think the contact will happen for you

report back

I believe "gods" are one or more race of beings, so I don't think a human can become literally a god, but maybe god-like. Heraclitus said that men are mortal gods, and gods are immortal men. So if you could live thousands of years, you'd be like a god. But I don't think gods want us to have that kind of technology.

>>31784

So basically I should become an ascetic and live like a hermit waiting for them to contact me?

actually, by intentionally subjecting yourself to bad things and suffering when it is outside of the will of god, you are worshipping and appealing to the false idol "satan"

I believe that Yahweh (the Christian god) was one of the elohim (the ancient gods). So technically I believe in the Christian god, although he's not my god and I don't believe he created the universe. So yeah, I guess I'm a heretic.

 No.31812

Fasting and drinking water doesn't feel bad at all, quite the contrary in fact. I agree that "no fap" is torture though. Maybe if I lived alone in a forest I would do it, but unfortunately I live in a modern city, where there are pictures of sexy women everywhere and actual women that dress like prostitutes, so I'm constantly aroused.

 No.32740

You can't contact Earth's creator from here, and if you could they would just tell you to piss off.

>Why do they tolerate our stupidity?

Why do you tolerate the stupidity of voles? Humans have wiped out many species, but normally not even on purpose.

>Are the gods just like us, except more powerful? Or are they better than us?

The answer is yes.

> What do they want us to do?

My god wants you to either agree to change, or to agree to be annihilated. You are dissonant with wider existence. Either stop being yourself, or embrace your dissonance and stop being entirely.

 No.33607

well, you should have NO difficulties in finding virgins to sacrifice on this board, brah.

Good luck to ya.
