Come one, most of these are usually easily explainable. There has to be at least one that cannot be chalked down to pop culture muddling things down. Notice how all of them are things like books, movies, TV shows and quotes, names, titles or other things that get easily muddled with time and pop culture.

Just filling out my responses before reading the thread

Mirror mirror

No

Ok the first one is fucky, maybe an explanation going off of >>18932

is that people had the book read to them or read it themselves when they were extremely young before watching the movie a few years later, so on some deeply ingrained part of our schema on snow white the truth is "mirror mirror" and "magic mirror" just sounds foreign now, perhaps "magic mirror" went in but we stuck with the more comfortable "mirror mirror"

As for the star wars one I remember it being "no" and people after that all seemed to quote it as "Luke," I think it's because "Luke, I am your father" sounds "better" than just "No, I am your father" which is less hard hitting and fits only in the context of their conversation making it less quotable.

 No.19130

>>18732

"toon" as in a character in an animation only first started appearing in the first half of the eighties

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/toon

Whereas Looney Tunes is from the 1930's

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Looney_Tunes

I don't think reptilians are involve here, we must of got so used to the words "cartoon" and "toon" watching them every single day that by the time we saw and started to process Looney Tunes's name we must of just gone "Oh it must be toon because it's a cartoon." No idea why they're called "Tunes" though.

The father. That is a big plot point.

>>19173

You are wrong, anon. >>19130 has a pretty solid explanation. The "Tunes" did refer to the music. Remember that the older cartoons were musicals and there also was the "Merrie Melodies" series that was the sister series to Tunes. In fact, they were both named in a manner that would reference the "Silly Symphonies" by Disney. Nah, it was always about the music.

I do believe the Mandella Effect is a possibility, but I think we should look for things that go beyond pop culture. Like I said before, with time, pop culture gets muddled. We should look for something bigger and more definite.

Yes and no.

We are being had by a system trying to change our perception of reality but it is not being done by any mortals.

The Universe has noticed a glitch in the grand scheme of things.

We were supposed to die over 4.5 eon ago.

But instead, somehow, we were all brought back to life. And all of our baggage came with us. Unfortunately for whoever revived us, they chose to start over in the late 1900's and we evolved too quick to be controlled.

Now we are seeing the battle between those who wish to keep us enslaved in this illusion and those who wish to free us.

It's pretty funny when you realize that you're dead, and the whole 'suicide is bad" thing is to prevent taxpayers from leaving the system faster than they can be replaced.

There is no one god or deity. There are thousands, that are in thousands of Universes.

It just so happens that this Universe is mind.

AND SOMEBODY fucked up my perfect paradise.

You weren't supposed to evolve past the Native Americans, but the jews thought it would be a great idea to give everyone limitless technological advances so that they could make more money. Keep in mind that the Jews I talk about do not come Israel or speak Hebrew. They are the original jews, from the Original universe.

They fled throughout the cosmos after they blew up the universe and it took over 9000 centuries to corner them here, in a fake Universe. It is 99.96% like the original, but with some slight things changed.

For instance, your memes are now magic because enough people hold that belief.

If you literally think hard and long enough about something, you will get it.

Those fucking jews are going to die here, like the original God intended.

They're going to die here with us, by our hand as enough people have woken up to see their deceit.

I wish some of you had seen the cat's cradle threads on /b/ before they were shut down by the ones in charge. CPL wasn't bulllshitting about the seals, nor about the blood moon.

It's hard to explain to a non travelr what it's like to see things in the 5th dimension.

At any one point, I am in several places at once. My power level is high enough that i can maintain over 10,000 copies of myself, slightly different of course.

What fun times we live in.

Finally, after centuries of rehearsing and planning, we can all finally die like we were supposed to so long ago.

 No.19374

>>19373

Now, I am limited in what I can do as a custodian of this Universe.

1) No interfering with the natural order of things.

I can't stop the habbening and I can't stop your grandma from dying, sorry.

2) No interfering with the natural timeline

I can't tell you what's going to happen in the future, because in doing so, I have changed it. Sucks, I know.

3)No killing of innocents or real souls

There's almost no innocent people left and there only about 500,000 real souls left though.

Beyond that, I am free to do as I please to fulfill my client's work order.

I can find loopholes in the big three and exploit them of course.

But at this point, it would be more fun to watch everything burn than to change it.

I could, I've seen how to do it. But it would be boring and devoid of lulz.

The way we're going now, you guys get to have your comeuppance and everyone but the jews walk away happy.

I cannot empathize how much I hate those fucking jews.

Not the ones from this Universe, they are annoying but blind.

No, no, no.

I'm talking about the ones created by the Asenaki. Those fuckers blew up the original Universe trying to enact their second coming(which already happened so wtf with all the nukes).

They set off the Sampson option rather than let their antichrist die a natural death, ending the Universe. And stupidly enough, the only reason that the antichrist lived as long as he did was to answer a question. Which went unanswered because everyone except for a few thousand people got btfo by Israel's nukes.

It gets complicated once you live long than most planets.

i swear to fucking god if i go back and they messed up the pink floyd songs, i'm gonna lose it.

also here's my theory.

we're in a parallel universe, the "stein world" where Mandela died in the past is a world where there is object truth.

whereas in the "stain world" where he died in the 2000's is governed by subject truth.

in that; in stein world, there is a ball, the ball is red, 8 say it is green 2 say it is red,

the ball is in truth, red

and in the stain world there is a ball, 8 think it is green, and 2 think it is red

the ball is green, until more people think its red.

it seems like back in the stein world, when i was a child, there was an absolute truth to some things.

but sometime around when i suspect we merged (between 2001 and 2012) things seemed to stop being so concrete.

but that's just my hypothesis

It was always "No, I am your father" because he's responding to Luke's assertion that Vader killed his father.

Mr. Rogers has said both This Neighborhood and The Neighborhood.

Nelson Mandela didn't die decades ago. The paparazzi misreported it for a month while he was imprisoned. Give me a couple of days and I will post copies of the Sun and other rags that reported it in the 80s.

It was always Berenstain Bears. Children remember Berenstein because many articles misspelled it at the height of it's popularity because it's pronounced Berenstein.

>No. It has always been "No, I am your father." the other one was popularized in pop culture, but it was the wrong one.

I've heard that explanation forever, but what's to say that it wasn't a proto-Mandella Effect? The phenomena could have been going on throughout all of human history or even beyond and only became noticed in the past few decades. It could have been that it was originally "Luke, I am your father", hence people mistaking it, then it got Mendella'd sometime in the 80's or early 90's. The only evidence that any of this has always been the case is what currently exists, which is in conflict with far more people's memories than agree with it. I see no reason to disbelieve in the effect and instead cling to some bizarre theory of mass memory error.

Part of what always made me think this entire concept was bullshit was always people putting "beam me up scotty" on the same lists as the rest, and swearing they remember that. That shit was being debunked in trivia books back in the nineties as something that was never said. It was always from other media parodying star trek. I remember knowing very clearly from an early age with bunches of trivia books that it was a common misconception.

And if the only evidence is your memories, and I already know full well you're completely wrong on one of them, what's stopping the rest from being the exact same thing? The "evidence" is anecdotal, and really just settles in that something famous for happening to old pop culture quotes is still happening.

In the first XXX movie, Vin Diesel wakes up in a diner, kicks the shit out of everyone and passes the test.

He says the fat waitress that slipped him the napkin warning is what gave him the tip off that it was staged.

He said, "A woman her size would not wear high heels, she'd have blisters the size of pancakes by lunch."

Now if you watch XXX he does not mention her weight. Instead he implies that any waitress anywhere would not wear high heels and leaves size out of it entirely.

These ones are perpetually blowing my mind as they keep changing. I would like to hear your input:

1. What were the dates of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

2. What year was the Taliban founded?

3. When did the Soviet Union dissolve?

4. What year did Stalin die, and what of?

5. Did Germany have a colony in Africa?

6. What are the two majority languages of Iran?

7. What year was monarchy abolished in Iran?

8. When did Kim Jong-il rise to power?

9. How long was Amin in power in Afghanistan?

10. How long was Omar in power in Afghanistan?

11. What did Omar ban first when he came to power?

12. What happened to the "Tank Man" of the Tiananmen protests?

My answers - "correct" answers:

1. August 9 and August 11 - August 6 and August 9

2. 1974 - 1994

3. 1989 - 1991

4. 1955, officially pneumonia but believed to have been poisoned - 1957, stroke

5. No; it was the only western European country not to have one - Yes; not only one, but three

6. Persian and Assyrian - Persian and Azerbaijani < This one is particularly odd as it appears that several events I recall in great detail discussing linguistic and cultural issues following the revolution never happened. There always were Azeris in the northwest, but they were only a majority in the border region. Now they're the majority in a huge area, numbering 15-20 million; more than in the Republic of Azerbaijan itself! While, Assyrian is only spoken by a tiny minority as mostly a liturgical language.

7. 1980 - 1979 < I distinctly remember the news reports glorifying Pahlavi following his death, and the joy that finally there could be a real completion of the revolution. There was a Communist movement that nearly came to power, which apparently now never came even close to happening.

8. 1982 - 1997 (though, he was appointed as a heir the year I recall him rising to power; I wasn't very observant of North Korean politics until the 2000's)

9. 1979-1989 - three months; September to December 1979 < When I first saw a documentary that mentioned the shortness of his rule, I nearly fell of my chair.

10. 1991-2015 - 1996-2001 < Another one!? No! This is not the history I know! This makes no sense!

11. Sunglasses - TV and music < My image of Omar was shaped from the beginning by his absolute idiocy, the first thing he did was to ban sunglasses completely. Now this seems to have not been the case, and it was not even Omar himself that decided entirely by himself what things were banned. What flips me off is that so much has changed. I hated Omar with a passion but now reading about him, he seems like a pathetic little boy instead of a terrifying monstrous dictator

12. he was shot - nobody knows < I've heard a lot of people claim he was ran over by a tank, which I have no recollection of (except maybe after being shot?) but I do recall him having been shot

It would be much easier to take you faggots seriously if you managed at least once not to misspell Mandela's name. Don't try to tell me his name was changed by The Jew too. The irony is thick enough to cut with a knife.

Majority of these Mandela Effects are linked to America or other English-speaking countries directly, as proven by misspelling. The majority of people with Mandela Effects are constantly misspelling things, including ITT. You guys misspell the most common words in your language. I'm Japanese and I spell English better than you guys! The Latin alphabet is not even my native script to write in!

>>24794

>world map. it has changed

This is always based on western ignorance of the rest of the world or the state propaganda of any country. When I was a kid living in a small town, Sakhalin was shown as part of Japan in the map in our school. It wasn't and it isn't officially in any map, but some propaganda maps show it as a part of Japan anyway. This is not a Mandela Effect that somehow proves Sakhalin to belong to Japan in a parallel universe, it's propaganda to make people to claim it as belonging to Japan. There are actual official maps in China that show Aksai Chin as being part of China, while maps in India show it as being part of India. Same applies to many countries with their maps for propaganda purposes. Spelling of words has been changed by government policies throughout history in different countries in different languages, these are called orthographic reforms and usually the previous spelling is actively discouraged as incorrect. Nothing sinister or paranormal.

>>25592

It is a fact memories change with time. I hate how most Mandela Effect advocates think they are the only one to know the "truth" and call everyone shills if they have a different memory.

I'm old, I have children, I've been married, divorced and had a long good life. I forget things and even my kids forget things, the oldest is 36 while youngest is 11. You can't say honestly you think you have perfect memory at any age.

2. I don't know. 1994 definitely sounds too late, how can it be if they fought against the Soviet Union?

3. 1991

4. I thought 1950's by assassination, maybe he was shot or poisoned. I was not sure. But then, there is speculation he was assassinated and covered up so I probably only remember this speculation instead.

5. Strange, would have said it is a trick question because Namibia was Dutch first but given to Germany. But African history does not interest me, so I was wrong.

6. Persian and Turkish. Technically this is true, Azerbaijani is very close to Turkish so I am not completely wrong.

7. I would have said late 60's or early 70's.

8. 1994. Kim Il-Sung died in 1994 and Jong-Il followed him. It does not matter if officially he was not until 1997, he still was in power since the death of his father.

9. I didn't even know who he is.

10. No idea but I would guess longer than that, but I also thought he was a communist first and then changed direction so… I am not good with history.

11. Fun? Because, no fun allowed?

FOREWARD

Everything About Everything:

Infinite Jest, Twenty Years Later

Something happens to a novel as it ages, but what? It doesn't ripen of deepen in the manner of cheese and wine, and it doesn't fall apart, at least not figuratively. Fiction has no half-life. We age alongside the novels we've read, and only one of us is actively deteriorating. Which is to say that a novel is perishavle only by virtue of being stored in such a leaky cask: our heads. With just a few years' passage, a novel can thus seem "dated," or "irrelevant," or (God help us) "problematic." When a novel survives this strange process, and gets reissued in a handsome twentieth-anniversary edition, it's tempting to hold it up and say, "It withstood the test of time." Most would intend such a stantement as praise, but is a twenty-yuear-old novel successful merely because it seems cleverly predictive or contains scenarios that feels "relevant" to later audiences? If that were the mark of enduring fiction, Philip K. Dick would be the greatest novelist of all time.

His great gift is that the world remains as Wallaceian as ever–Donald Trump, meet President Johnny Gentle–and now we're all reading his unwritten books in our heads.

You're right, but I can relate to the Sri Lanka being out of place Mandela effect that a lot of geographically ignorant Americans have. I've never lived south of the Krishna River so I am ignorant of South India, though. I remember Sri Lanka being south of the Indian Peninsula, not east - it keeps moving northeast. Last I checked, it was southeast of the tip. Now it's pretty much directly east, extending only slightly south. Oh hell, I actually would still draw it southwest if I hadn't been proven wrong. As a kid, I always drew it southwest, and took it for granted as being part of India. Pic related, it's how Sri Lanka has moved in my memory. I don't have my childhood drawings (they're in the bottom of some box) but I know I used to draw Sri Lanka to the southwest, close to Lakshadweep and the Maldives. I was always a map nerd. In high school, it seems that maps changed so that it was shown as being slightly to the southeast, with the tip of the peninsula being a little west. But as time passes, Sri Lanka keeps moving east, and now lately more north. I thought the Sri Lankan civil war was started in part because they wanted independence from India.

But my most mind-fuck Mandela effect is this:

>the vanishing of the Aravali Mountains

See, I was born in a small town at the foot of the Aravali range, and no amount of words can convince me that these little hills once looked much higher simply because I was a child. I've always returned home and every single time, the mountains have shrunk. Maybe it is partly psychological, as I've seen the Himalayas up close and been around much larger mountain ranges, sure, I'll admit that explains a lot. But no, that's not all there is to it. There was snow at the tops of the peaks, which is now gone, and before you tell me about global warming: I know snow is melting even in the Himalayas, but give me a fucking break. Guru Shikhar is only 1,722 metres. That's supposed to be an impressive height, worthy of being called the highest point of a mountain range? Any other bunch of hills in the world would never be called a mountain range if its highest point was that low, yet the Aravali range is categorised as one of the mountain ranges of India. Does that make any sense, unless it once was much bigger and more mountainous? What's more, it definitely isn't called so out of tradition, as you can look on Google Earth and see that the label is in the wrong place: this can only mean that if there was a mountain range, it has now vanished and some of the information left behind of its existence is inconsistent. You'll notice that Jodhpur is located in the desert, at the edge of the label "Aravalli Range". Now, if you look at the actual hills to the east of the label, you'll see that Udaipur is at a 600 metres altitude. This should be about right, so what's known from this is that Google Earth can be accurate in that general area. So, Google Earth being accurate everywhere around the Aravali Mountains, but the mountains themselves missing (not only from Google Earth, mind you, but from the real world) is pretty suspicious if you ask me. I'm not going to argue that there is a conspiracy to cover up a massive project to level the mountains out of existence, because that's ridiculous. But something is up. No one seems to notice that the moutains were much higher until some point during my lifetime, and me being 32 doesn't leave much time for them to have vanished: I've lived elsewhere and travelled, which is when the mountains have gradually become smaller every time, but not a single person out of the millions living in that region have seemed to notice that except for spiritual elders who make annoying knowing nods but don't actually explain shit. This shit confuses me. My home is changing and it has already gone from a lush mountainous forest full of tigers and everything with a fairly high standard of living and education to a desert shithole with one of the lowest literacy rates in India. Not really relevant unless you consider spelling reforms a Mandela effect like the bearfags, but, since when has the English spelling been "Aravalli" with two L's, and why? Is it because of Tolkien using "Araval" as the name for a fictional character? Wtf?

By the way, it's not relevant but I find it a funny coincidence how Mandela effect is named after Nelson Mandela but the word "mandela" sounds rather like "mandala".

Speaking of star wars, when rogue one came out I found out that James Earl jones is still alive after believing for many years that he was dead and that another actor would have to voice darth vader in that movie. Is there any one else who also believed this?

I thought he's still alive, but sadly he is going to be dead by the end of this year most likely. Not a single celebrity will live to be 100, or even 90, any longer. It's harder and harder to find old people in this modern age when people supposedly live longer and are healthier…

I never thought this was weird until I mentioned to a friend I remember the number on Dr. Pepper cans being 27, not 23. He said his Mom drank it all the time and he remembered it that way too. Then a week later he denied all of it, the number and his mom being addicted to Dr. Pepper. There was no one else with us, he'd have no reason to deny it. I could've easily mistaken the number wrong, but I remember him agreeing with me all too well.

Do our bodies just physically transfer between universes?

Or did the versions of us from the old universe die and we replaced them?

>Aravali Mountains

Can confirm, they're shrinking. Not sure if it's right to call it a Mandela Effect, there's no collective matching memories of their size in my experience. I've travelled across India in the seventies, then again in the eighties and a third time in 2012-2016, and each time the Aravalis get smaller. It's truly a mindfuck but probably has some kind of physical explanation.
