Homo Sapiens did not evolve on the same continent as Homo Neanderthalensis. Homo Neanderthalensis evolved in western Eurasia and Homo Sapiens evolved in northeast Africa.

There's always the notion that we are the byproduct of splicing alien genes with apes/monkeys and that we are the smartest because we some of their smarts and got an upper hand with technology before they left us in kind of an egg state. Ties into the solar system bubble that prevents other races from fucking with us because we're both a young civilization and the creation of another species. Honestly it seems the most believable.

I read the linked article. this article is awesome, but it makes no mention of any theory about human evolution.

Also, I should point out that the freshest known Neanderthal bones are about 1000 years older than the oldest known Cro-Magnon bones ever found in Europe. It's entirely possible if not likely that these two species never laid eyes on each other.

Sidenote: Neanderthals were straight up bad ass. They had more muscle mass, more bone mass, and larger brains, even compared to modern humans.

I agree with the other Anon that the species originated in Africa. Although this isn't a theory of human origin, I do accept that there is bitching archaeology to be found underwater. If any cities did exist during the last Ice Age, they would be located on the temperate coasts, which are areas which today are under the waves due to ocean rises over the last ten thousand years.

I thought people bred dogs out of wolves, so dogs wouldn't be around during the start of humanity.

That said though, I personally find both dogs and wolves to act more relatable to us than to a pig or monkey. Wolves even have hunting tactics, something I don't think primates have or not worth mentioning due to a lack of success. Some mythologies describe humans as coming from wolves. Maybe a pig-monkey would be close too, pigs are laid-back but said to be smart, monkeys have the limbs.

A pig-monkey could fuck a wolf, and that offspring fucks more pig-monkeys. Giving humans the variation in eye color and facial expressions. Monkeys have facial expressions too, but they are so different. There is also all the species that are no long around, some may have left no remains at all.

It's fun to speculate anyways. Don't take my response too seriously, just my thoughts.

So basically:

1. An ape fucked a pig

2. The pig miraculously got pregnant with a hybrid

3. The hybrid was fertile and mated with other apes

4. The offspring was fertile

5. Etc

That seems even more unlikely than aliens coming from Uranus and genetically engineering us. Another problem I have with this theory is that the first hybrid would have been raised by the pigs (since the mother must have been a pig) but I don't think pigs would be able to successfully raise an ape-like creature. The hybrid would have probably died before reaching sexual maturity.
