As is typically the case with The King of Kings, however, the win wasn’t without controversy. Not only did Triple H orchestrate the elimination of Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, his own team captain, but he provoked Raw juggernaut Braun Strowman by positioning himself as the savior of the red brand when he hit an unsuspecting Shane McMahon — SmackDown Commissioner and the blue brand’s team captain — with a Pedigree out of nowhere to attain the winning pinfall.
Following Triple H’s bizarre machinations and his triumphant grandstanding, the frustrated Monster Among Men lashed out at The Cerebral Assassin, backing him into a corner and warning him to never cross him again. Of course, Triple H did, resulting in two retaliatory Running Powerslams to the WWE COO.

Joe also got lax and Cena took advantage of that, plus he hit 2 AAs on Joe, since it seems that it is well established that a single AA is just another move now. Can't remembee how Balor got out but he stayed on pretty long and the finish boiled down to Braun, Angle and HHH anyway so I think it was still fine. Both teams were pretty stacked, Shane had to be the last one on SD since he started the whole feud. Orton was 2nd last since he seems to be one a legend in Survivor Series elimination tag matches. Cena got out 3rd just in sequence with Nakamura and Roode, great to sew Angle pin Cena too.
