I'm a huge fan of Vietnamese food and want as many recommendations as possible for things to try next time I'm over there.

How accurate is the recipe in the embed? What do you think of Huey's efforts?

One of my favourite things to eat in Vietnam was cao lau. There was a tiny cafe that served it in HCM near the apartment I stayed in. There was a restaurant in Hoi An called Wooden House that had an amazing menu, I couldn't pick just one meal off of there to list. They had fantastic, steamed dumplings called something like white rose dumplings. So good.

Tbh, cao lầu is a pretty decent food. If u want to make some in your home, u should make think like: Chả nem (spring roll), bún chả nem, bún chả thịt nướng,….

Also, try to make some cafe in Vietnamese style is gut too

I looked that up, fermented shrimp paste noodles? I've never heard of it. I'll have to see if I can find it locally.

what kind of banh mi anyway

i sugest the Hôi An variant, it's the best one we could shit out of us

you could however, make one for yourself, from a baguette (better chop the loaf down if it was to big), parsley and any sliced ingredients (you name it, sausage, cheese, cucumber,…). it will be called a submarine sandwich then, however.

dog meat have proteins, and mostly it is as soft as 3-centimeters-thick hemp rope. especially the skin.

they must have the following ingredients:

brined/fermented shrimp paste,

rice noodle (the circular pasta-like variant, not the kind they use to make phơ)

and fried tofu
