Potrafiłem przeinstalowywać winde98 co tydzień, bo spierdolony interment exploder wysypywał się na stronach internetowych, a instalacja nowszych wersji powodowała wysypywanie się całego windosa przez integrację z eksploratorem plików. Niektóre specjalizowane oprogramowanie na tym gównie nie działało wywalając błędy, a niektóre działały przez trzy minuty i trzeba było robić reboot. Kiedyś złapałem jakiegoś antycznego wirusa ulokowanego w MBR i musiałem zrobić obraz systemu, tzn. nagrałem na płyty CD osobno C:windows Cprogram files i dokumenty. Kilka razy odzyskiwałem system w ten sposób, a częściej sięgałem po programy które miałem tak zainstalowane. Był też do win98 polski dodatek service pack który też źle działał i rozpierdalał system.

Windows millenium systematycznie się psuł i oczywiście ochrzan za "zepsucie komputera" dostawałem ja i ojciec czasem był tak agresywny, że aż bałem się do domu wracać
nawet raz byłem z kolegą na podwórku to z okna na mnie się wydarł, że znów komputer zepsułem i jak wróciłem do domu to prawie rzucił się na mnie i zabronił mi cokolwiek jeść
po latach dopiero się dowiedziałem, że windows millenium sam w sobie był zjebany i sam z siebie się psuł i w sumie za darmo dostałem terror w domu

Używanie ME mnie jakoś ominęło, ale pamiętam że to był taki face lifting win98, zmieniona kolorystyka, nowy zestaw ikonek, wgrany był chujowy WMP (każdy wolał MPC albo Winampa), a gdy wyłączyłeś ręcznie komputer to nie pojawiał się niebieski dosowy Scandisk tylko wersja windowsowa przed pojawieniem się pulpitu.
Tak jak miałem okazję robić na Windowsie NT 4.0, ale nigdy nie spotkałem się z Windowsem 2000. Następny z tej serii był słynny XP, za którym nie przepadałem bo mulił strasznie.
Do czasu kiedy nie trafiłem na Linuksa. Byłem w szoku że system operacyjny można uruchomić z płyty CD. Nie trzeba było instalować sterowników. Większość potrzebnych narzędzi była już zainstalowana, kiedy windows był goły i po formacie trzeba było spędzić cały dzień na instalowanie wszystkiego. Nawet nie trzeba było ściągać programów z jakiś dziwnych pirackich i zawirusowanych stron, bo można było zainstalować z terminala.
