It had launched the China Medical Board (CMB) in 1914 and established the Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) in 1917. It supported a handful of mission colleges through the late 1920s, a legacy of the Rockefeller family’s Baptist commitments. By 1933, the RF had spent over $37 million in China, more than in any other foreign country, and most of it had been spent on the PUMC.
Beyond Medicine and Public Health
The RF’s 1928 reorganization signaled its emergence as a mature philanthropic entity and marked a turning point in its relationship to China. The RF was now ready to branch out beyond medicine and public health. In 1928, it centralized its governance, adopted the guiding principle “the advance of knowledge,” and added divisions in the natural sciences, social sciences and humanities. In this new context, the CMB and PUMC seemed no longer to fully express the Foundation’s vision, and the CMB, which provided the support for the PUMC, was released to become an independent entity.

Medical texts were translated, and medical libraries were built. But the greatest RF legacy was PUMC and the enduring contributions its graduates have made to China's health system. PUMC's buildings, dedicated in 1921, still stand in the center of Beijing. A bust of JDR Sr. greets visitors to PUMC’s auditorium. The hospital still ranks as one of China’s most advanced. Today, the Chinese Academy of Medicine operates from the campus.

znam od chuja lekarzy, bo większość moich znajomych z licbazy poszła na medycynę.
Ile razy oni mi się zwierzali, że na praktyki chodzili najebani z poprzedniej impreski albo że na zajęciach na położnictwie ktoś obrzygał dzieciaka jak mu dali na ręce albo inne gówna to byście się zesrali wszyscy tutaj.
No i oczywiście wszyscy mają takie sitcomowe poczucie humorku że uhuhu zobacz mam 28 lat i nic nie umiem, nic nie wiem hihi beka że dali mi prawo wykonywania zawodu lekarza jak ja nic nie umiem hihi (tutaj uwaga dotyczy przede wszystkim bab).
Oczywiście wszystkie turbolewaczki i ciągle smucą o patriarchacie i obserwują lewogram i tonę innych "le edukatorek" na instagównie, co to twierdzą że każdy powinien mieć swojego terapeute i łykać wesołe tabletki xD
