I posted a rant on plebbit(yeah I'm a retard for posting in there in th first place) ranting about players ending the hunts in capture to make up for the lack of dps. I ended up triggering them all like the faggots and subhumans aka trannies, dykes and niggers are getting offended. They told me that they prefer to capture because they feel bad for the monster and it can potentially give better rewards and hasten the hunt.
It is unsatisfying as fuck not to kill the monster and capturing it feels like you're cheating. i'll only capture a monster when farming it or it's a capture quest. No it does not hasten the hunt you nigger, it's a fucking cheap way to end a hunt. Fucking get better gear and get good and you wont take 30 minutes to capture fucking great jewgras.

Isn't this just because it yields more materials for crafting afterwards? If you're farming it, that'd make it the optimal strategy and if you're not farming it, you're not likely gonna capture it.
Besides, it does shorten the hunt, that's objective and you can't really argue against it, especially when the timer to leave the mission afterwards is just 20 seconds instead of 60.
I dunno man, you sound like a tryhard that's in it just to kill things, while everyone else has plans and shit to do. Most lobbies, you'd be the one dragging everyone for way longer than needed.
It's really not that hard to cut tails or break horns and then capture for maximum amount of materials in minimal time, repeating until you have enough to craft what you need.
It just seems your entire point boils down to "the other players are wrong because they are moral faggots", but anyone just point at you and say "you're wrong because you're a tryhard" and it'd be just as valid.

killing is grossly suboptimal
before you even get to the rewards screen, a significant portion of the monsters healthbar dosnt have to be dealt with making the fight faster
then, at the reward screen, you get more rewards for a capture as well, meaning you dont have to grind the monster as much
THEN
IN ADDITION TO JUST BEING BETTER AT BASE
there are armor set bonuses that improve the ALREADY BETTER capture rewards
