You're lucky, you get to play more good old games for the first time.

Congratulations dumb dumb, you made the opposite issue.
Being prohibitively restrictive in your child's interests is a fine way to make an antisocial uninvolved little shit.

You're the one strawmanning retard, and it's literally basic child psychology that neglecting your child's interests will fuck them up for the rest of their life.
I'm not saying slap fortnite in front of them, or god forbid a smartphone and watch hours fucking vanish, but if your kid likes the blue fast or the red wahoo, it could do some actual good to at the very least pretend to share an interest in it.
It's not like I'm a pediatric psychologist or anything.

Not at all, my parents didn't let me get a console until I was like 14. It was a really good idea as I went outside more when I was young. I didn't get obese and I learned a lot with outside activities.
Consoles for kids is a bad idea and if I get another kid I get to keep I'll raise him that way too.

OP here, this is the most retarded post i have ever read on the internet. I didn't get my first console until i was 17 and all i play is violent video games and i'm fine. i know how to distinguish fantasy and reality unlike some weirdos

My parents did buy me consoles but the rule was that they only allowed me to keep one console at a time. When I got a new console, I had to sell or give away the previous one. After I got my first PC, I wasn't allowed to own consoles anymore because PCs can also be used to play video games.
In their warped boomer logic, allowing me to own only one gaming machine would help keeping me from becoming "addicted" and spending too much time on video games. I really envied friends and cousins whose parents didn't impose this dumb rule and owned multiple gaming machines.
I only started owning PC + multiple consoles around high school days, due to buying them with my own money from saved allowance + part time jobs, and my parents becoming more lax (i.e. giving up on stopping me from being addicted to vidya).

When you're a child, you should experience childhood instead of playing video games. When you're an adult and redpilled on that life sucks and everything you believed as a child in was false, then video games become your addiction like alcohol and tobacco.

Yet here you are, claiming not to be fucked up, in a Singaporean flute carving forum arguing about whether your weird-ass parents messed you up or not by withholding video games from you.
Nothing wrong with games in moderation. They only become an obsession if children have nothing else to hold their attention. Of course, modern AAA games with their globohomo agenda, are a different, poorly-written story. Junior's not going to become an autistard because he played Mega Man 2 and Shining Force when he wasn't doing productive stuff.

When I first starting getting consoles from my dad my mom was a little mad about super mario because you could kill the goombas.
Most of my games I got with my allowance
I mostly played most console games in another room so I could play vidya that was slightly more violent (they were still kids games rated E10 or some shit like that but up until I was 15 if I played any vidya with violence my mom would get mad. If a game featured fighting she hated it and I couldn't play it in front of her or she would want me to destroy the game) Then I discovered pc gaming and I got a sony console. Now I mostly stick with pc.

I feel bad for your would-be kids having such an autistic narcissistic faggot fuck to headstrong them into rebelling, if you can even arouse a woman in the first place that is. You are the reason kids feel good about being leftist faggots. because when they do the opposite of what you want, they will spite you for being overly controlling, it will feel good in the moment but they will still be fucking miserable themselves due to being deprived wholesomeness, you need to be reasonable and allow them to enjoy things the way you do, you come off as a dad who would be a distant autist with his kids and wouldn't know why, so I hope my post makes you think about different perspectives without caving in to the faggot mob, all I'm telling you is be reasonable. If your kids hate you, it's not always the system to blame, it's tonedeaf parenting.
