Sup /v/!

Not sure if there was a board dedicated to this kind of stuff, so let me know if there is.

Anyway I kinda wanted to craft a fan made working Ragnaid (Pics Related) Canister from Valkyria Chronicles, a game in my opinion, that doesn't get enough love.

I've built models before, but I'm not good at customizing them, i.e. inserting ridiculously tiny led lights and drilling holes into them, etc. I'm pretty vanilla at it.

So if you could offer advice that would be great.

I'm thinking of making it out of a soda can and plastic bottle at first to get a rough geometry and scale of the model.

Ultimately I want to make the canister work like it would in-game, with a potentiometer adjusting the leds brightness and turning it on and off, all controlled with the knob seen at the bottom of the canister.

But what's killing me is the little crystal inside the canister itself. I haven't seen a pretty clear model of it and was wondering if there was like a way to get the 3D in-game model to look at more closely?

I dunno.
