Also, while I haven't played Inquisition, I know how shit the writing is there but I spoiled myself on Flemeth because I wanted to know what the fuck was up with her. It's great payoff to a lot of subtle hints from origins and her exchange with Morrigan is amazing, too good for modern Bioware. I suspect it was already written / planned out a long time ago. Though there were probably still a couple of original writers left at the time of development. Can't say the same for the rest of the game.

Those guys are also in the original game to. I think they only turn invisible on the hardest difficulty.

System Shock 2 they're in 1 but 2 does them more justice and that painting is obviously from 2 . It really has to do with the game itself. The sound design is amazing, your character isn't exactly a tank, you need to conserve resources at least moderately, some parts of the game area really really dark, enemies love to ambush you and the maps have tons of nooks, crannies, rooms and different ways to go. Put that all together and you increase the creep factor of an already extremely creepy enemy by an order of magnitude. Everytime I ran into that enemy it was always in a dark creepy maze-like area like some maintenance tunnel or something no one ever goes to. Then I would hear one of those fucking things and all I knew is I wanted to see it before it saw me.
The game is Bioshock, in that everything found in Bioshock can be found in this game, but Bioshock really cut out a lot of other shit and dumbed it down in a lot of ways. Like the ammo conservation part for example and RPG elements. The game also has way better execution than Bioshock. Honestly Bioshock is kinda an insult to the game.
