It's good in the sense that it is incredibly immersive and the dialogue can go pretty deep into philosophy. But it's not very enjoyable because for a videogame you want to play something fun, not replicate the same monotonous grind you are trying to escape from.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R with EFT tier autism and some more enemy variety and factions, otherwise S.T.A.L.K.E.R type game set in the Tiberium universe with some effort to put in actual battles with vehicles.
Honestly, Call of Chernobyl and it's variants are the ultimate post apoc game for me, it gets nearly as autistic as some more text heavy games.

I really do like the formula Fallout has given. They are shit devs for the most part, but they layout I really do enjoy. I like the whole "in the ruins of an advanced society" schtick as it gives you incentive to explore and does set up a decent plot even if it is a bit cliche. I think one of the things I would change in those games is how safe the major towns are. The only place in New Vegas that raiders would poke at was Camp McLaren.

Call of Chernobyl modded and fallout new Vegas are really fun to play, but my ideal post apocalyptic game would be a game that's somewhat similar to Kenshi but also has gameplay elements from the Stalker series and fallout where you could do a-lot within the wasteland such as becoming a infamous slave trader and building a city out of slaves.

Post-apocalypse requires the entire earth to be fucked, not a little piece of land smaller than the size of an island.

I don't recall it being buggy but yeah, I enjoyed it a lot. The last quarter of the game is goofy in terms of story. There's an english translation patch available for the text (for those of you following along, the game takes place in the USA but since it was a german made game, all voices and text were german).

i noticed a trend in these games, dogs, in games made by people of developed countries, they are deadly and a single dog/wolf can kill an adult, then you have games made on third-wolrd countries were they are portrayed as dogs, like in STALKER, commeon they aren't that deadly.

Just take a fuckin melee and Trapping then beat the fucin wolfman or dogman shit.Then craft a fuckin outfit out of its corpse then go up north make sure to craft broad spear either.Make sure get cover and keep the distance 3-4 for optimal.

Caves of qud. Playing it with savescuming makes it feel a lot like a fallout game. In the beginning you are fighting what is essentially kobolds with bronze daggers but it doesn't take long before you find a bunch of cool tech, also, the skills and mutations are really a lot of fun.
