Head meido eventually corrected the record™ on that and said it was from 9 to 2 pages. Huge difference. He also said since the site had come back, most of the image heavy threads were full of broken images and many threads would be deleted anyways since they were months behind the current airing anime. He also says tons of other boards purged tons of half broken threads and reduced pages to 1 to combat CP spam. The latter makes no fucking sense, since smaller thread count limit makes spam threads more effective at sliding boards, not less. He never mentioned any specific boards of course, and even if other boards did, they must have returned their page counts as functionality had mostly returned in January. /a/ continued to keep pages at 2.

History's weird. For example, Lincoln was a Republican candidate back when the republicans were an insignificant party.

Millard Fillmore, the 13th president, was part of the "Whig" party which doesn't really exist, but was big back then.

Ross Perot is the most significant recent one, he ran as an independent in 1992 and won 18.9% of the vote but no electoral votes. He took second in two states.

Before that, George Wallace, an independent pro-segregationist in 1968 got 13.5% of the vote and 45 electoral votes which is quite major as you can understand. He's the most recent third party guy to actually win a state.
