I am in the mood for some N1 srpg grinding. I have finished disgaea 1 and played about half of disgaea 2. How is phantom brave compared to disgaea? From what I've seen, the game looks similar but slightly different.

Things to be aware of:

its not stuck on a grid

except for Marona, everyone has a limited amount of time in combat

everything's a weapon. Everything

there's no new game + (at least in the PS2 version)

the various grindan' systems and exploits are absolutely nuts

the story focuses on the tragic life of a cursed pollyanna. There is little of disgaea's comedy here
