I know this bit, because he was rejected and took some sort of offense to the idea of publishing the game as homebrew.

As for what happened to him, I have no idea. Last I saw he'd done his webcam up with gold after posting a really long and nutty biography up where he admitted to fucking trannies, snorting meth, and trying to helium-exit-bag his way into heaven

He still updates his site every so often and some boomer types post on his forum.

Pretty sure the forums have been dead since shortly after they went up. The game sure as fuck hasn't been updated in the past two years. And even then, it's just the "bob's game" inside of "bob's game" and not "bob's game" as the demos on the DS were.

The sad thing is Bob's game looks like it would have been quite fun, if he'd swallowed his ego and just released it as freeware.

What was the basic gameplay of this supposed to be like, or did he even release anything?

All this talk about "Bob" and "Bob's game" made me think I was clicking on a ReBoot thread.

He claimed it was a massive publicity stunt and he never actually meant any of it…but he kept it up for some number of years. At that point, I think it's fair to say that it's actually some type of mental illness.

Looking through his Youtube videos, the most recent ie. less than 5 years old is a puzzle-tetris clone mini-game that actually looks pretty cool.

I wish he'd just do that.

That's the game available on Steam for free, he did in fact do just that.

It has a bunch of different puzzle games (tetris, dr mario, etc.) that it switches between, plus support for adding more games yourself, or picking just the ones you want for a custom gamemode. Plus something ridiculous like 16 player versus mode, I think. Or maybe 8.
