She also lead the cheerleading of throwing King's Quest under the bus in favor of making it more like "Tome Raider" with Mask of Eternity. Her Husband, also, burned his own company to the ground by literally selling out to CUCs who then promptly turned around and promptly embezzled most of the cash out of the company before selling it's remains off to venture capitalists for butchering.

It's not that the majority are trash, as much as the majority of women simply have no interest in the industry or the hobby. In Japan, it seems the few that do go into largely male dominated hobbies are truly passionate about it, and their dedication shows. Some will still claim that they have to worker harder than others, but that's bullshit. Getting a job with the biggest and most prestigious companies in the industry you're aiming to work in is hard as fuck for anyone.
In the west, the problem we're facing is that women lack the passion and the dedication, but make up for it with a grossly inflated sense of entitlement to things that they feel a desire to destroy or dismantle. There's still the rare female autist who can play and make games with the best of them, but there are far more who don't want games to be game, but due to being imbued with a completely misguided sense of victimhood and a duty to fight for the sake of fighting, they force their way into companies through affirmative action and diversity policies, and then completely shit things up, demanding things change to fit their tastes, even though their tastes are anathema to the basic ideas of vidya.

Vast majority female responses, at least the most strong responses are usually some type of mimicry. They respond in a way they believe they should, or what will net them the most benefit / attention for any given situation. Any decent police officer knows that a woman can change their emotional state on a dime if the situation warrants it. Once you've watched a few hundred hours of interrogation room footage where men and women are both alone you start to see the differences. what is actual emotion versus what is an act or a put on.

Idolization of a fictional character is not much different than books or tv I suppose, though it gets awfully close into that grey area of some people not understanding what is real and what is not, and not in a post modernist way but a psychological hampering kind of way. Probably falls under escapism for most, and that is not healthy. Aside from the muscle man swinging a frozen tuna in Shadow Hearts From the New World, I can't think of any other character worth idolizing.
