It's a guilty pleasure game for people that have standards in vidya.

For /v/ in general it's a flavor of the week game, so one part would mindlessly defend it, the other mindlessly bash it and both would do that for all the wrong reasons.

And then there would also be roguilike autists screeching in the corner, how it's a roguelite cancer.

In short, it's a game that wouldn't deserve it's own thread if it wasn't for undeserved popularity it got.

Didn't appeal to me at all, it seems pretty well optimized though, got it running smoothly on my toaster laptop even though it has quite a lot of flashy effects (almost too much at times). Gave it two tries a couple of months apart and dropped it both times after about an hour with no real desire to try again.

If you want a roguelite platformer that isn't shit try Towerclimb don't be put off by the visuals in the steam screenshots, the interpolation can be deactivated and it really is a superb game.
