Yeah, a fair point. Feels like most western writers, when going out of their way to write "strong women", have no template to copy. The closest there is are select Greek icons and Nordic valkyries, which aren't quite as immediately relevant. So either out of laziness or not knowing better, they just try to write depict men with vaginas. This is especially true for most films/games/stories that were politically motivated.

The answer to this is complicated. An intelligent logical person can have enough self awareness to recognize when they are thinking and behaving irrationally. But many people aren't smart enough to have this level of self awareness. And even for those who do, depression can suck away their motivation to make lifestyle changes.
