Why's the animation so bad? Why are the character designs so bad?
There's no snap to anything at all. It's okay to immediately snap into a "I have punched" frame without horribly overblown anticipation and overshoot. Have some quick motions here and there that don't horribly distort the characters.
The characters just don't act appealing in any damned way. Pimple's tongue-waggling thing is a prime example of just how uncharistmatic an animated character can get. Look at that thing and how expertly it conveys absolutely nothing.
Is everything underwater? Everything's so floaty, with no mass involved.
They got smears going. Actual smears, except they're so misused, linger for so long and they PAN AROUND WHILE BEING HELD. FUCK. Now you got severely off-model drawings just floating around.
That goddamned cartoon pilot looks better than this.
