I actually enjoyed the Division 1 but Division 2 really is boring shit. There is absolutely no lore, you just run in circles killing NPC's and giving aid your random friendlies. Like, there's absolutely no main quest or anything. NOTHING BURGER, can't believe I got hyped for this shit. I'm not kidding, there is zero lore. Is this the new norm, zero lore, zero creativity, shit movement dynamics where your player feels like a slug sliding slimy all over the ground, and you grind for loot fatigue and bullshit to help out NPC friendlies?

I swore off ubisoft a while ago, i dropped R6 when they started instabans for no no words but still played for honor as i genuinely enjoyed it then the chinks got released and i literally ragequit slammed my desk and uninstalled. Here's a rundown of every ubisoft game ever:

>Game announced with vague trailer that introduces a really interesting concept/really cool looking game

>Ubishit pays off youtubers, twitter fags, reddit mods, etc to make sure everyone is absolutely fucking hyped

>The hype combined with the vague concept/coolness factor get people making theories about what game mechanics might be, all the cool shit that will be in the game, etc

>game gets released

>it's shit-tier to mediocre with the original concept butchered by shitty gameplay or lack of story/worldbuilding

>game gets a few patches to make it slightly better

>on to the next hypefest with the same trash

to be fair, it makes sense for combat teams to follow that pattern, but to say every different faction will fight that way is indeed stupid.

The combat is actually a little more engaging than D1. There you could face-tank anyone at a certain level. In a strange way, that actually made it more fun.

just my overall feeling, Division 1 had more effort put into it. D2 feels like a very current year cash grab mixed with some mild Trump Derangement Syndrome.

SJWism and Corporate greed have had a disastrous effect on creativity.

that being said, div2 hardly had any issues and gameplay wasn't designed by people that never played a fucking game in their life like div1, the main problem of 2 is for a lootashootan collecting shit it's just… boring. not even in an offensive shit way that makes you rage, it's simply eh.

optimizing your gear is just shit when they had an almost perfect solution in 1, but even then why bother? there are zero long-term goals, not even commendations that could unlock something cool

The Division suffers from Ubisoft's syndrome of having fucking great concepts of games but a pretty flawed execution. The idea of playing as a tacticool agent waifu roaming a large city when it's a night time blizzard is tantalising, though we see how the game falls short at this.

I haven't played TD2, but you can complete The Division 1 by yourself and while ignoring all PVP content. But it's always online with everyone's favourite DRM solution. There are parts of the game which have the comfy night time blizzard city feel. The entire Survival game mode is dedicated to it, and it's breddy gud. You need to escape the city after surviving a chopper crash in a blizzard and need to craft better weapons and clothing while getting eaten away by the Gay™ virus. The Underground DLC is also breddy gud since it adds rougelike dungeon crawls.
