Now i love the DrakeNier universe and the games. Long before normalfags got obsessed with the gothloli gynoid sluts of Automata i was a volunteer shill pushing Drakengard and Nier on my friends and consider myself a big fan of most of Taro Yoko's work.
But seeing the success of Automata and Square Enixes habit of taking a bit of success and running it into the ground worries me. Taro is a strange man and i feel like the pressure would break him but Drakengard 2 shows without him the universe he has created is like star wars is today compared to the original films. It might use terms and ideas but it utterly butchers them at best and at worst uses them for its own agendas.
I would hate to see him burn out and see the setting turn to shit as Square Enixes library of big releases is drying up fast and beyond the 7 remake they only have FFXVI with Yoshi P in the works and thats only just going into full production when Shadowbringers is finished so they need shit to crap out fast.

An egg has 7 grams of protein. one chicken breast has 30g of protein. If you really think there's any possibility a single ejaculation has more protein than two entire chicken breasts, you're retarded. Also, the keto diet works for weight loss exactly like every other diet, by making you consume fewer calories than you burn. Keto works because it makes people eat shit loads of fat which makes you feel full for longer, so you eat fewer calories in the long run.

I've been losing 10 pounds a month by going on a zero sugar and low carb diet. Meat, cheese, eggs, peanuts, and sometimes vegetables if I feel like it. I'm less hungry than I've ever been, therefore I eat less than I've ever eaten, therefore I also take in fewer calories that I need to worry about burning off. Waking up in the mornings is easy again, almost like when I was a kid. Falling asleep at night is also easier and I don't constantly wake up every couple hours like I did before.
Even when I decide to ease up on the diet with more carbs and a bit of sugar, I don't gain any weight. I can keep dipping in and out of the diet and maintain that weight.

You really ought to be lifting while trying to put on weight at your height. Cardio will kill your gains so avoid it, at most just run for a few minutes as a warm-up.

I'm not, sugar especially the type found in soda and candy, inhibits the signals from your stomach that tells your brain it's full, so even if you are full, you still feel hungry and eat more. He's no genius, but every once in a while he can pull off genius moves. Never played the Drakengaurd series, but did play Nier. His strength isn't in his gameplay but in his story writing ability, and the world he crafts.
Gameplay wasn't that good, but story was better than average with the twist done well and slowly built up. On second playthrough you can read what the monsters say and it gives a completely different view of them, absolutely humanizing many of them and making you feel regret. There are also many time when you realize your actions have an unintended tragic consequence that you don't realize until you understand the world, at which point you might turn around and realizing your heroic actions might not be so heroic.
But I have to say the most absolute SLICKEST bit of foreshadowing I've seen in almost any game was the part about the Black Scrawl in Nier.
In the world of Nier, magic spells are bound with written words that float in the air. Like a fireball spell might be launched from floating letters in the air that say "fireball", but written in that world's language script. The Black Scrawl is an incurable disease that kills a person, and signs of the disease are letters forming all around the body. The game never tells you what the letters say or really expands upon the source of the black scrawl, but one guy figured it out
The scrawl repeats the letters A, T, C and G. These letters obviously stand for
Adenine
Thymine
Cytosine
Guanine
The the four nucleotides found in DNA.
The Black Scrawl is essentially the falling apart of the magic that's supposed to hold the body & DNA together.
I don't care what anybody says, I thought that was slick as hell.
Gameplay wise, the games fail in several areas, but the story will blow some people away. Second playthrough you'll be catching so many hints and you'll be seeing the story as pretty rich.
One of the areas it does suffer in, is that to fully understand everywhere the story goes and complete grasp of the story, you'll have to read outside sources beyond the game. I think there was a book "Grimoire Nier" that was released in Japan only that had extra stories and explanations about the game that give you many pieces of the puzzle you would never get otherwise. IIRC it was only by reading these other outside the game sources that informed me that every "human" in the game wasn't even a "human", just a replicant shells meant for the REAL humans to posses as a work-around to survive that otherworldy disease that wiped out humanity. Also weird stuff the game never got into like Devola & Popola delivering babies, since nobody has normal pregnancies, since every human is a fake but doesn't know it…or something like that, it's been a few years.
I haven't played Nier Automata yet, or any other of Taro's other games, but I was damn impressed with the scope of Nier's story, and the way it would set up a completely different experience (story wise) upon additional playthroughs.
Also that secret ending where you had to erase your save file forever was something else. You couldn't even make another game with the same name, you erased yourself FOREVER

As for Automata, go for it, anon. The gameplay in Nier 1 was a particular rough spot, but Platinum's hand helps Automata in that regard. Also, keep away from the thread before you get spoiled on N:A.
The stuff about sources beyond the game applies pretty much to anything Yoko Taro - there is a wiki "The Ark" that covers most things. It has translations of the book stuff, transcripts, all sorts of things. But do not search for it until you finish Automata.
Nier 1's extra material is mainly the book, but Automata steps it up with stage plays, for example. Don't worry about those for now, just play first.

Can't say if you would like it or no. The main story for ARR drags quite a lot, specially from 2.1 to 2.3 if I remember right, but HW is quite good and SB is just meh, has its lows and highs, though last patches seem to mark an improvement in my opinion. The game receives content quite regularly, though SE plays it a little to safe and it becomes quite predictable without to much change. The game may seem slow at first but is because it is designed as "First MMO" experience, so you gain skills slow, which "supposedly" helps you learn your class, but once you have you complete kit it becomes much faster, with the use of ability that you must weave between your weapon-skills. Some classes can in fact be quite hectic in that regard (Ninja, Monk, Samurai and Dark Knight have either skill that increase their speed dramatically or must weave a ton of shit between attacks).
There is a free trial that lets you play indefinitely to level 35, you can try that one out. I recommend waiting for the release of Shadowbringers (ShB), as that expansion includes the other two, so approximately for 45€/$ you can buy the base game plus all expansions. If you cannot wait, you still have time to buy the base game and take advantage of an ongoing promotion where you can get Heavensward for free, which is quite a lot of content plus you can reach level 60. If you want to socialize, I have bad news, the Duty Finder and Party Finder tools kind of discourage that, so I recommend finding a FC (basically, a guild) as soon as possible, as of now is where more social interaction lies. I think there were some 8ch guilds but I don't quite know.
Also for best sluts, Mi 'quote and Au ras are the most popular. Basically cats vs lizards.

The moonman is unironically one of the very few developers that know how to make a story built up specifically for the videogame media instead of slapping a story and forcing the game and player to go along with it. What's more, he made an insane amount of LORE for the original Nier in the Grimoire Nier book, despite none of it being relevant for the plot of the game and Nier being a pretty much standalone game with absolutely zero hopes of ever getting a sequel or follow-up of any kind due to Cavia closing down shortly after Nier dropped with low sales and bad press to boot.
I consider Atomato to be his best work yet, even though I consider the original Nier to be better in terms of storytelling, characters and music. I felt he handled the sidequest relevancy to the plot much, much better than the original Nier, and the themes that the characters handle become increasingly great the more sidequests you do and the more deep you go into the game. The gameplay is actually rather fun this time around instead of being just serviceable, and it kept the genre shifts that the first one did so well. Also, 9S did absolutely nothing wrong and his character development is the single greatest thing in Atomato. A2>2B fight me
I really want Platinum and the absolute mad lad Taro to make Drakengard 4 sometime in the future, they've still got it the spark for now. I'm sure the franchise will eventually go to shit because Square caught on that the Drakengard/Nier will sell gangbusters now that Taro has proven that he can make some good fucking games when given assistance in the gameplay department and when given a budget that isn't the equivalent of a happy meal without fries; but fuck, I'm just glad the guy is still making quality games. Atomato existing at all after how hard Nier got shafted is a blessing in this timeline, man.

it was easier when I was working at a Japanese restaurant and mostly had a diet of Oyakodon, Shouyu Ramen , Miso soup and Gyudon on paydays; now I work at an airport and not only is evreything here highway robbery, but I don't have the time to cook up something filling that will get me on with the day, especially days where I work 16 hour shifts.

Simple food. To prepare for my work week I buy 200 grams of whatever sandwich meat I want (Hungarian salami is a favorite) and I make a sandwich for every day. For snacks I pack a small tupperware container of bulk mixed nuts from the supermarket with raisins mixed in (I keep this poor man's trail mix in a big-ass jar and simply throw all this stuff together in there, shake it and voila, cheaper trail mix). I also buy whatever fruit is cheapest and bring one or two in my lunch, but if I have my way it's usually bananas or peaches. Even if you cheat on dinner and get a burger or something you can't help but lose weight as long as you're not eating hilariously huge portions. I used to spend a shitload of money going out for lunch or buying pre-packaged meals but man, going the bulk route is so fucking cheap.
Bread: like a dollar a loaf
Sandwich meat: even if you're eating the highest-priced meat at the counter 200 grams (pretty much the exact amount I will eat in a week) will run me about six dollars
Poor man's trail mix: like four bucks a pound as long as you're buying bulk
Fruit: Buy whatever's on sale
Drink: water you faggot
