Pretty much this. Nobody's putting the thread up early enough, and it keeps being a game that isn't easily gotten ahold of.
If you want others to play, you need to give them time to find or download the game. Maybe gamenight thread ought to be up a day or so in advance to when you're actually hosting?

That was me and I gave plenty of alternatives, but it seems like everyone is truly burnt out. I'll play anything that isn't revolt for at least a couple hours. That North African anon was the one trying to host CS, but failed.

Besides looking for more ideas to new gamenights, this week we just decided to not play and wait for the next, and then keep it every fortnight. Not because of "muh old hosts" dicksucking, but to keep the hype.
Also, we already had 2 gamenights and even then nobody wanted or was able to host anyway, therefore we ended up with Re-Volt twice also is FUN as fuck, deal with it. This is like those "make a videogame" threads: everyone is an idea guy, but almost nobody does shit for real.

Wait next week, post gamenights ideas (PC, toaster-friendly, up to 10/12 players -better with 16 or more, any genre, not only shooters) and if you actually can host, please do it, don't wait for someone else

Tis a shame. Well then Diablo 2 might be a good option and it will have to be on a free VPN like Evolve/GameRanger. It's worked before, so at least I know it's a sure option. Anyone who wants to play D2 will have to use a throwaway email, make an account on (probably evolve), and then I can add you as a friend and get everything going. My connection is good enough for D2 via VPN.
