There exist some easy as fuck games with actually rather great mechanics that never get explored enough, so some games stand to gain a lot by throwing randomness at you, which incidentally pressures you into adapting your playstyle rather than being complacent and just picking and choosing the same route all the time.
Metroidvanias and action adventure games (generally scripted ones) are just dumb streamerbait, but shit like monster catchers, sportsball sims and grand strategy games are wonderful at it. You may be given a crippling starting debt in a world power to rebuild from scratch or start off from an isolated island with resources that shouldn't be available to you and go full comfy on the rest of the world.
