Mega Man has enough weapons and stage gimmicks as-is. The closest thing I can think of is Mighty Gunvolt Burst letting you customize your weapon, but I don't remember the game itself being very good.

It's alright, though the arena change didn't really make Metal Man any harder. I also wasn't a fan of all the crushers. They really slowed down the pace of the level. I wouldn't call the level weird, though. It was pretty standard, and kinda boring.

I can't tell if this is a troll level or if you're just that bad at designing levels. Your philosophy to enemy placement seems to be either just throwing a bunch at the player or making the player fight them in small corridors, with little thought into the actual design of the encounter. Ring Boomerang completely breaks many of the encounters. Also, the second set of rising blocks move you off them when you go through the screen transition, and I'm not sure how you let that get through testing. It's an eyesore, too. There was already a thumbsdown on the level, before I tried it, and I can see why.

I also remember reading an interview where the director of the first two games explained that he designed challenges where there was an easy introduction, a harder variation to test the player's knowledge, then an easier conclusion to not leave an impression of the game being overly difficult.

I didn't want to add non-MM2 enemies onto the level so I stuck with the Joes for gate keepers, maybe I will revisit the level with a different set of enemies, on the other hand maybe is not the hardest Metal Man arena out there I actually wanted something like the original but there is no way to change the conveyor belts direction in the middle of the fight.

Working on a new one, 2 or 3 bosses total in the same level, is a shame there is no way to just destroy blocks on killing the boss or taking their weapon for the stages to be more dynamic.

I like that room. You know what would be cool is if there were two floor doors, one on either side of the spikes, whith two separate paths for each. I think it would work best for people who have a hard time being consistent with the boss as they'd have difficulty intentionally going down one particular path. Maybe I should just try making a level

Mega Maker has at least four weapons from every game from 1 to 6 and a few from 8 to 11, sadly the devs still don't add the corresponding bosses for all the current weapons and instead decided to put some meme cirno and smash weapons as extras.

Definitely a much better level. It flowed better, the boss fights felt actually affected by the arena design, and it didn't look like just a remix of an official stage. It was a bit light on the hazard variety, though, but I can understand if that was because you fight three robot masters in the one stage.

Death beams are too slow to spawn in megamaker so I had to use a workaround, the metal man arena I made earlier was basically the only way to compensate for not having the direction change like in the original, the ones in that level could be a bit different but I wanted to do a straight line so my options were limited, same with the enemies, I had an issue with the way weapons have to be set up so it ended up being buster only.
