I was asked to hold off on dropping this information because the host feared Skelus and Sierra would stop coding for him, Sierra had already threatened to fork the code and host his own server after he was denied an admin position because he refused to make a new ckey to admin under. I wanted to expose this shit much earlier but the host assured me he'd take care of it, so I waited.

During that time the host tasked me with collecting information on what the mumble was doing when he and the the other admin weren't around, since he wanted to see if the metafaggotry was worse when Button was the only admin online. I collected dozens of instances of metafaggotry. Everything from screenshots to more awful video taken from my shitty ass flip phone because my computer is a potato that dies when I start up OBS that show beyond a shadow of a doubt that those guys CONSTANTLY use voice chat to do everything from coordinating regular autism projects to antag activities. Button facilitated it whenever other admins weren't online and would also relay information from admin conversations to them so they could benefit from it. Even after Button stopped playing the metafaggotry continued. The host has willingly chosen to let this shit continue for a solid month and has refused to take any action, until now.

Might be a bit too overpowered, but a few basic tool options would be nice. Only able to go down a specific path like an android/ai shell thing.

If all of those ideas are not possible, at LEAST make it so their doorjack can work without someone else and can drag things. I want to at least save my master from space or lavaland. Oh, and wear hats too. MoMMI can wear hats, pAI should get a similar option.

Vaccines would be usefull under 2 circunstances only:

The first is when a Virus is incredibly deadly that you might not be able to get help in time, either because it progresses very fast or is very stealthy in the first stages.

The second is when the cure is either a rare resource that won't be available to everyone or takes too long to produce, where a Vaccine is basically free.

The problem is the idea that TG has where they can't 'force' someone to play a role or have the crew dependent on someone playing that role. If a random virus showed that was so strong a Virologist had to be involved but none were onboard, everyone would be fucked.

Consider how you have medkits spread all over the station in case medics aren't available, spare power for a long while if engineers aren't available, plenty of self defense if Sec isn't available, snack machines if the chef isn't available, etc. In the case of Virologists, you have sugar, salt and orange juice instead.

I'm also upset that Nanites are not JC Denton at all. Half the powers are passive stuff (healing, increased defense, some utility like ID access) while the other half are just detrimental effects that you'd use either as a traitor or on criminals as Sec, something that almost never happens. It's basically mechanical virology with even less fun stuff but more oportunities to fuck you up.

It's especially grating when you see Genetics having a bunch of powers that could very well be used with Nanites like Shocking Touch or X-Ray

Not really, I kinda dig Xenos actually but their implementation just has some issues that make them not very interesting in the end.

As in, there's a lot of things that could happen that make for some tense and fun moments but there's really no logical reason for that.

For instance, like I said, you don't have any reason to actually put up a fight when when you know very well you're gonna respawn anyway as a big meanie alien. Players oppose them based on principle and because it's somewhat fun to fight them, not because they need to, especially since when Xenos show up, you'll likely already have exhausted your job content.

Secondly, Xenos themselves end up having to play in a boring way, stunning and dragging everyone. Every dead human is one less Xeno for the Hive since you can't implant dead bodies. They don't even need to eat meat so killing humans is a mistake. Remenber that we are talking about horrible murderous creatures that have incentives NOT to kill.

Having a pool of possible xeno spawns strictly to anyone killed by anything other than being implanted helps to mitigate the first problem and solve the second since surrendering yourself to aliens might get you a facehugger instead so no Xeno for you and the Aliens have an incentive to actually be murderous beasts since as soon as they kill a human, someone else will pop up with a fresh new alien to join the Hive.

The ideal situation you want to be at (and this goes for literally anything at all) is that nothing is strictly necessary but it's a very welcome edition when it arrives.

Mining is kinda like this. You can get by with Glass and Metal for construction and a lot of things like machine spare parts or even basic Mechs don't need special materials, but once a Miner returns with Ore, several other jobs can now do a lot of better things.

Genetics can clone even if there's no Geneticist, but once one arrives there's gonna be powers all around.

You can get food from Vending Machines and solve the hunger problem, but if the Chef cooks stuff, you get much healthier and better meals.

In case of Virology, I suppose that every disease would require a form of treatment that mitigates it's symptoms but doesn't actually cure it. Herbal Teas or some patchwork medicine that can keep it manageable, but only the Virologist would be able to outright cure it.

Alternatively, diseases could come from things like Away Missions or accepting living things onboard the station (animals from Cargo, visitors, etc) and thus you know the risk of getting said things and either take precautions or you're relying on the Virologist to solve it in case there's trouble.

Not entirely true. There's a thing that's basically a Mob's Mind where some details and definitions are stored. Security Officers are marked as such there and that's how they get extra healing from donuts, for instance, that's what's checked there.

There's code to trigger events based on population and there's nothing preventing the code from iterating over live crewmenbers and check their Mind, as well as registering what job you spawned as.

It would also be possible to have "item spawners", items that a mapper can put aboard the station and, at round start and after spawning players, will either delete themselves or spawn the correct item based around any parameter, like the presence of a job.

All of this is possible, it'd just require code to work, but to be honest, I don't think it'd work out.

Ask anyone playing MMOs or RPGs why you can't unlock every ability and have every score in a character or even why you shouldn't be able to re-spec on the fly at will and they'll tell you: because if everyone can do everything, there's no point in playing with anyone else and cooperating or working together.

Heals toxin for twice as much as anything else, if I read it correctly.

Threshold will double all these heal values.

Basically this one is shit unless you get the other threshold, which makes it automatically heal cloneloss at half the normal rate it heals most things.

With threshold though and the radioactive mutation, seems like the only one that is free healing anywhere all the time.

The medbeam/syringe gun with combat chems is stupid good, you can always carry a downed miner quickly with the mounted sleeper and having medical HUDs makes you able to see health of mobs. You're also rather resistant to damage while inside a mecha so it's also a plus to have all around. Odyseuss is also the only mecha that is both spaceproof AND moves very quickly, acts exactly like normal spessmen walk in strafe mode with no downsides, other than riotsuit speed.

Very, very useful when fighting megafauna.

First of all, here's a fact about playing Sec you'll have to accept: You will always be considered a bad Officer and will always make some angry.

Part of the job involves fighting against threats to the station which you might think everyone would be gratefull for, but either they won't see it or they'll complain because they wanted to do it themselves and you stole the fun. Not to mention you'll often have non-lethal weaponry only anyway.

The rest of the job involves actively stopping someone from doing whatever they consider "fun" because it's ruining someone else's fun. You're basically the Fun Police.

Don't worry about it too much, think instead that since you can't make everyone happy, you don't have to make anyone happy! It's liberating.

But don't make the mistake of thinking "This means I can be an incredibly shitty officer!" because it's one thing to oppress shitters, it's another to be one yourself. Just because everyone debases themselves to monkey levels of civility, it doesn't excuse you doing the same and if you try it yourself, you're going to get a lot more shit going your way than everyone else because you actually spawn with guns, armor and high expectations from everyone else.

Basically, you have to be firm and stern in your judgement, not pandering to anyone in particular except the Law but have the common sense of not bothering everyone for petty shit either and accept that there will be flak going your way no matter what, what matters is if the criticism you get is valid or if it's salty.

Onto actual guide on doing your job:

First rule: Understand the nature of it. Detective\Warden\Officer are 3 very different jobs. HoS is a super Officer, it doesn't warrant an extra explanation.

If you're not sure how much to do or you don't want to be too active, pick Warden. You'll sort records from the computers and keep a watch using the cameras, make sure prisoners are released and stored properly, hand out weapons when necessary, etc. It's a peacefull job that's very helpfull anyway and gives you the perfect excuse to devour donuts for the whole round. Order some from the Chef.

If you don't want to actually deal with criminals, pick Detective. He isn't meant to arrest or fight at all, his revolver is great for self-defense only. You gather evidence and then inform Sec of whodunnit only, acting cool and distant in the off-hours, at least whenever your liver isn't dying or your lungs desintegrating.

If you actually want to take an active role, pick Officer. Go around patrolling or stick to a department if you were assigned one and only go outside if there's a situation.

Changing records to Arrest is important since it makes every Securitron on the station arrest that person on sight and alert you over the radio to his position if he is seen. Even if he escapes, that will help a lot.

If someone is commiting a crime, Taser Shot, Stun Baton in Disarm, Cuffs and then start pulling in that precise order. Don't go near someone until they are on the ground, don't trust on the Taser alone to stun someone and don't do anything else until he is cuffed and you're Pulling him. Talking or doing anything else until that's done creates openings for him to escape or attack you. Do not let anyone come near your prisoner or they might take him from you. Expect that, everyone thinks everyone else is a Dindunuffin.

Escort the prisoner to the cell and search him before putting him inside. Take any tools or illegal goods from him and keep those outside so he can't use them to escape. If you're gonna sentence him for more than 5 minutes, open his locker, drag him inside and drop all his shit inside of it. It will automatically open when he is set free. Do remenber to keep the prisoner clothes outside, though.

If you arrive at a situation with 2 people arguing whodunnit and one runs away or starts getting violent, arrest him. Even if he is not the culprit, running away or getting violent makes your job harder and it's a deliberate decision by him, so he defaults to being guilty.

Do not go into Maintenance ever. Cameras can't see you, radio doesn't work, it's gonna be a bitch to find you if you're killed, it's horrible to shoot your taser inside. Corridors are long and wide precisely to help you, so stay in them.

If you suspect someone will attack you, use your PDA to call a Securitron. You can pass your ID\PDA on it to access it's panel, shut off it's Patrol and just drag him around. If someone starts attacking you, Shift+Click with the SecHud equipped and you can change criminal records from the description. Put him in Arrest and your Securitron will help you.

Other than that, patrol important areas like near the Bridge, EVA and Engineering, stick to your department, talk with everyone so they get familiar with you, help anyone that is being attacked so they help you in case of need, don't be too harsh but don't buckle to shitters either.

It's one thing to arrest the scientist for being in Engineering. It's another to arrest him when there's already an Engineer that's trying to start the engine but the scientist won't stop "helping" him.

Like I mentioned, security is most appreciated when they keep people from being murdered and spaced, since nobody else really intervenes unless they are validhunting. That often necessitates patrolling maint, unless someone is specifically waiting for you in ambush you'll likely catch some shady shit in the act and have the initiative to get the drop on them despite your natural disadvantage.

For the securityfags out there. There is a Donksoft vendor in maint that you can screwdrive and wrench back into Brig, or just leave around. If you hack it, you can get Donksoft SMGs (C20r-D) or the Donksoft LMG (L6-D) for $50 spacebux each. Both have advantages and disadvantages, but both only spawn with harmless foam darts in the vendor and the vendor does not provide you with [REDACTED] for actual utility. If [REDACTED] is done correctly with [REDACTED], you can [REDACTED], which is infinitely better than using a disabler to take down suspects and thus much safer, although at the cost of not being able to fire through windows.

Like, if it's a cult round, or something of the sort, suddenly seeing people unauthorized in Botany or Chemistry can be important because they might be making salt or holy melons.

I imagine it's a quesiton of investigation and actually talking with people to know what's going on.
