I have a folder on my non-OS-related partition called 'misc', within that a subfolder called 'games', and that's where they go.

I only keep games I'm playing installed, everything else gets removed and backed up in alphabetical order.

I have a RaspberryPi/RetroArch thing but it's such a fucking pain to use I haven't touched it in a while. Why can't they just have a simplified emulation menu instead of the menus within submenus within submenus? And those submenus are fucking ugly.

I don't know how you're able to have all those games installed all at once.

I try to keep the number of games installed on my PC to a maximum of 20.

This enables me to focus on select games before uninstalling and trying out another.

Anyway, there's that old various directories solution.

There are also game library management software available if that's your thing.

There are many of those, but the only one I've tried is PlayNite.

Yes, it's bloat compared to simply using folders, but if I had more than 50 games installed like you, PlayNite would probably benefit you.

No, I'm not trying to shill PlayNite, in fact, I don't even like it because it's just bloat since I only have <20 games installed.

I'm just telling you my experience using a game library management software.

There are many game library management software out there with similar features, but I still think they're all bloat.

It's up to you if you think they'll benefit you or not.

I draw stick men on my game cases / cartridges. Stick men with cowboy hats on means that the game is pre 2008, they all go in one box. Stick men with pink hair means changing of the times. It basically means anything post 2008 aka modern age. They all go in a separate box , from there I sub divide the old games into more categories. Mainly from shapes, small Ds sized cases like the 3ds and psvita get moved to what I like to call ZONE P , the p stands for portable. All portables which have stickman cowboy hats on are you guessed it, pre 2008. I consider anything pre 08 god tier. They gave a special place in my old school gamer heart. If it's post 08, I'll give it a rent,otherwise? I Chuck it. I lable the ones I don't like as "chuckables" the chuckable games get a Max of 1 playthrough before I get bored, then you guessed it, I Chuck it. ( Or sell on eBay) . There are so many zones I have created ranging from date and region. The stick man system is a solid way to organize . Make sure you use a non permenant marker if you ever want to try it out.

Who needs folders when you can just make steam categories, much cleaner.
