Resident Evil (1996), REmake's additions end up bogging down the original level design in some way (extended caves), or just straight up make the game easier (the path from the back door to the main hall).

Not going to go for meme picks, I honestly dislike Revelations 1. It's such a chore to play and it's so bloated with pointless content. Revelations 2 was much better and it only needed 4 episodes plus two bonus ones to tell a much better story. REv1 needed like 13 to tell a completely pointless story.

Chris Redfield, every time. He's had the closest thing to a character arc over the course of the series and compared to Leon, there's no contest.

REmake 2 was good, so do that again but try to actually keep the story intact. I get what they were going for with the lower amount of cutscenes, but when you have unironic theories about how there's 4 Mr. X's and forced A and B scenarios that honestly should've been scrapped in favour of two campaigns that compliment each other well, you know something should've been done differently.
Thankfully, RE3 is one single campaign, so I just hope they add a short side campaign for Nicholai or Carlos. Maybe expand Mercs to have some story content.
For RE8, I hope they go back to third person. And since they already ripped off RE1 in RE7, ripoff RE2 here. It'd be nice to have another trilogy that takes place in a single general area, unlike RE4-6 which were all over the world.

I hope REmake 3 builds off REmake2, and doesn't skimp out on the choices you can make, and that they improve the dodge mechanic from RE3. And for RE8, I'd be content with either a slower game like REmake 2 but with more melee moves, or something absolutely cuhrayzee like RE6, but with much better pacing and less flow breaking trash between the actually fun segments.

Quite enjoyed it, but I felt burned out from it easily, I guess that's to be expected, the first horror game I've ever beaten (well more like half beaten but you get the gist), I did spend the 5 bucks for the infinite weapons because I certainly am not a speedrunner in any capacity but still did want to give Mr. X the middle finger after all the anxiety he caused me. Though I ain't much of a fan of how they just chopped the Birkin cutscene nearly entirely. I've seen the cutscene from the original RE2 and it's pretty good, the music was fantastic, it was pretty well acted and the sewer scene where you got to see Birkin massacre the UBCS was great. But in REmake 2 it's basically just 2 VHS tapes and 2 short flashbacks. Same with not actually seeing Mr. X drop down into the RPD. It's just "oh hey he's here now, run the fuck away" Also by the way, I played with the classic soundtrack, the new one is great (G3, G4 and Super Tyrant's have been ear worms of mine lately) but the classic themes are also fucking amazing.

Well I like over the shoulder more than tank controls (I do like tank controls don't get me wrong, I think I might just feel more comfortable with over the shoulder? I don't know.) But I just pray to god they find someone who sounds like the guy who played Nemesis back in 3 (fun fact he actually voiced luigi in the mario 3 show and I think the mario super show as well, so all you drawfags get to work on some nemesis and luigi bonding or some shit, make em fish together or some horseshit) because the STARS cry seen in games afterwards has been very shitty. Also if they could have the original soundtrack not by a paywall this time that'd be nice. 8? Well I hope they don't go back to the first person perspective, or if they do, have it as an optional thing for us VRfags so we can be punched by whatever fucking monsterousity capcom thinks up of while it feels like your irl. From what I know RE7 was more of a PT/Outlast kinda game instead of a true RE game.

I enjoyed it quite a bit on release, but replaying RE2 afterwards really soured my opinion of the remake. They could have easily taken the ideas they had for REmake2 and framed them in a new game instead of banking on nostalgia, and I don't think I got anything out of playing the game four times that I couldn't have gotten on the first playthrough. Couldn't say the same for going through LeonA - ClaireB, those felt reasonably varied.
And the whole "will this enemy get back up or will they stay down" cycle seemed pointless without kerosene and Crimson Heads, especially since RE2 was totally unambiguous as to when you had killed an enemy.

4 is good for what it is, 6 went balls to the wall from the start, never promised anything other than what we got, aside from Leon's campaign I guess and overall had better gameplay. 5 started out GREAT but just dropped it all after mission 2. They didn't know what the hell they were doing with that game, Wesker's death wasted on that tripe and Jill didn't even get to fire the last shot with Chris, some random dindu did.
