Even as a long-time fedora tipper myself, this feels like a sacrilege and I hope it's rebuilt quickly to as close to original condition as possible. Even if I don't believe, the Cathedral was an iconic part of European history and culture. Just because you move on, doesn't mean you have to forget or not appreciate where you came from, and it sure as fuck doesn't involve burning, burying, and ignoring the past.

Only modern leftists want to destroy and bury the past like it never happened in order to trump up their own so-called achievements in the present. It's unhealthy, dishonest, and a disgusting practice.

I agree 100 percent. You'd have to be braindead retarded not to see the positive influence the Church has had on society overall regardless if they're still needed today and Churches are works of art that need to be reserved. But I wouldn't worry about it, they were already restoring the Cathedral when it caught fire. If anything they just got more insurance money out of it.
