You can tell from the fact that Clear Sky DX10 renderer is BROKEN that its rushed game, it crashes every time after a while

If you arent playing it with unofficial patches or mods i cant understand how anyone can like this game, bullet and hit detection is COMPLETELY FUCKED, you die randomly from curved bullets around corners, you health bleeds away annoyingly from fuckin tiny amount of damage

there are a lot of problems with this game, too many to count, infuriating shit that didnt exist in Shadow of Chernobyl and that got fixed again in Call of Pripyat

I know this game would newer come out but since we have a thread. Would be cool to have different behaviour types for enemies with different experience. For example new and poorly equipped stalkers would be shit at firing and positioning themselves, shit at spotting anomalies and other aspects, more experienced ones would fire better and actually use covers and try to hold some distance between enemy. Like 3 such AI presets would be fine, maybe differ them slightly depending on faction so they would be fun to fight.

They would've done it by now if that was happening. This game was first announced back in 2010 and was supposed to release in 2012. And they went bankrupt, until they finally came back with Cossacks 3 back in 2016 - which sold well. A dev teased S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on a stream in 2017, and now they have officially confirmed the game's release. We also have russian "leaks" where the devs give more information about the game, and also confirming that the soundtrack is completed.

They're not bankrupt anymore, there is a solid chance they will publish the game themselves.

A bunch of military units and law enforcement agencies around the world use semi-auto shotguns but I think they key thing with them is they're almost always ones with tube magazines.

Reliability issues on most auto shotguns probably stem from the fact that the springs of the magazines put pressure on the side of the shells unlike in the tube magazines.

I'm guessing the reason nothing like that exists in mods is that gun condition is the determining factor of gun jams in stalker games. Bullet type can affect range, bullet speed, spread and such but no easy or quick way to make it affect jams.

Some modder would probably have to heavily modify the gun/bullet code and/or make a completely new one.

Is that a for a fact knowledge or an assumption? Adding new things to the xray engine is a pain in the ass even if you're adding things with a very good groundwork like say a new gun or such. Even though its just dropping in the files for the guns code and models + adding it to some traders inventory. Even that can adversely affect the games stability.

Yes, the system was so shit they needed to add GRA ammo due to how pointless it was, also using one kind of gun exclusively is just asking to run out of ammo or at least struggle with it (even though for this particular example 9mm is piss easy to come across).
