You seem to misinterpret my statements as being some attempt at being a victim, I am stating that being the conqueror isn't a one-way street where you are isolated from the people you subjugate. For example with France, due to having large amounts of colonies, now hold responsibility over large numbers of African populations that they have had to grant citizenship to. Likewise with Rome with their need to expand constantly, they had to resort to handing out citizenship like candy to sustain their need for growth. So what does this mean to become an empire? I think I've got a clearer picture of the dynamic you/anon meant to illuminate, thank you. This is why chinese funny money is so important to the scheme. It's not just that these games are being locked to a cancerous, worthless platform. The profit split alone is not nearly enough to warrant devs shooting themselves in the dick repeatedly for a couple bucks more back on the profit split. The thing that's making this worth their while is that the contracts come with a metric fuckload of cash that pretty much guarantees that their game is a monetary success, regardless of how many units they sell or ship. In exchange for giving Epic/Tencent another bit of something to leverage control of the PC market, these games are being completely paid for by China. Everyone who worked on the game gets to rest easy knowing that it doesn't matter if their game sells at all, and they get the added benefit of free hype and advertising from Epic along with a second round of sales after the deal ends, which is just icing on the cake.

I haven't read the manga or the light novel but I assume they both suck just like the anime did. It was so anticlimactic and lighthearted at the end that I almost fell asleep. It stopped being about one guy doing his best to stop an underrated menace of the world which actually does pose a massive threat on at least a smaller scale. It became a guy bringing a gun to a knife fight. The goblin king wasn't built up well at all. They didn't show any of his accomplishments but apparently we're supposed to fear him, fear him enough to justify getting the entire town together to fight him. Nobody died in the final fight except for like one or two useless side characters nobody cared about, the goblin king himself died in a pathetic way which made me question why he became a Goblin King in the first place if he can die to such simple magic, and then Goblin Slayer san himself went in the same direction that Tomoko did and started becoming a normalfag. I wanted more like what the first episode gave us, a frightening look at the cruelty of one of fantasy's most overlooked creatures, and also a reminder that actions have consequences. How did Goblin Slayer activate super saiyan mode and not die after having every bone in his body broken? Ummmm I dunno JUST WATCH DA ANIME GAIJIN!
Overall, 6/10 series. I have certainly seen better.
