It's no worse than most Disney schlock except it's aimed at furries. There's nothing wrong with it other than it being a by the numbers Disney story but furries. The animation is super high budget so of course it's nice but it's not really stylized in an interesting way, so it's not badly animated nor is it interesting to look at. The story is as you expect, the characters are as you expect. You could say

Unlike Western celebrities where everyone justifies their continued idol worship by accepting their idols flaws, as soon as Japs get a whiff of it they immediately drop the idol fucking hard, which is the far more correct way of thinking.

It's not something that old. We're not removing him from the original Frozen film. we're removing him from a game that came out a month ago. I would agree with you if what the Japs were doing was Stalin tier removed any mentions of the person ever but it's just distancing current products from the controversy, as opposed to the Western standard of just accepting it. I will say what's silly in Japan is outright removing a character's lines because the voice actor died recently but that's more of Japan's very high respect for the dead-tier thought process that's cultural and I wouldn't want it westernized away.
