My discoveries for the week: HARVESTER, a man awakes with amnesia in a bizarre 1950s world, extreme gore ensues. Not for those with weak stomachs. I was pretty grossed out.

RIPPER: Christopher Walken forgets to limit his walkenocity and hams up this movie about serial killers in 2040. Cheesy VR sequences ensue.

KRISS KROSS MAKE MY VIDEO : Sega CD hell where you just remix videos from stock footage.

WIREHEAD: sega CD totally tubular 90s trainwreck, keep a dude from getting eaten by a bear.

TEX MURPHY: Detectives and shit. New game came out recently.

X-FILES (1998) - Looks pretty good.

The fact harvester was ever released, especially in the 90s is still mind blowing to me. It came out in 1996 just 4 years after there was controversy over mortal kombat characters punching each other and blood coming out. Harvester has easily some of the most fucked up things I've seen in a video game

People created all sorts of fucked up shit that would get censored and banned today.

You have to hand it to the voice actor for the sheriff because those lines could easily have been fucked up but his delivery is so cold and dead on it's nightmarish. All the other gore in the game is campy, cheesy and over the top so the contrast is night and day

I think alot of FMV games were edgy for the sake of edgy because that was big in the 90s. Harvester atleast is interesting and is really like no other game I've played or seen.
