These sorts of games are usually more fun against other players than against AI, anyways. So while having some solo content, the multiplayer should still be the focus.
Online is just a bridge for multiplayer that doesn't need a local "scene" or close friends visiting.

Not lately. They usually focus on multiplayer, and even if they have offline vs. is nothing more than either matches with no point or nothing more than that. Good fighting games used to have good campaigns AND a lot more different modes like the Tekken beat em up ones.

The whole point of video games is isolate yourself from others. Multiplayer is cancer.

because fighting games require that wild element to be a lot of fun, to be able to shit talk the other player after absolutely bodying them is a great quality of fighting games.

You're probably extremely casual.
I'm really casual myself and even I can see the need for an online mode. AI gets boring fast and can be exploited easily once you figure it out. It's not entertaining.
I see what you're saying, but at the same time 99% of fighting games have offline VS mode so nothing to bitch about there.
I'd be more worried about a lack of online mode since it means the game would get boring fast (unless I invite my fighting games buddies over).

Most people play games that don't have offline multiplayer. That's not a justification for not making the mode, it's the result of not making it.

People say the AI is shit and I never see that. I still get my ass kicked in Dead or Alive, Tenkaichi 3 or even a party game like SSB by the strongest CPUs when they outwit me and I love it, forces me to incrementally get better and is satisfying as fuck to notice it when I win and even have less damage eventually.
Video games uniquely offer a nice alternative to constantly needing 2 or more people who actually to play around. SSB for all its faggotry knows something like being able to add up to now 6 more players for more fun chaos without needing a bunch of people with their own lives and schedules at the press of a button is something it needs and that helps make it worth buying to play individually.

They're not saying that the AI is easy. It just lacks a human element and teaches you bad habits as a result since it can read your inputs.
4b4d50 No.16192676
Online matches in fighting games suck cock anyways. Your input will drop more even if you have good internet connection. Though AI also suck ass because they read inputs. If you want to play fighting games offline you better have friends or siblings otherwise it's pretty boring.

I don't know what you're talking about, anon. The girls are top tier. Maybe you're mistaking TTT2 for Tekken 7? I've played it and all the characters don't look as good as they did in previous games. I have no idea why they chose the Unreal Input Delay Engine for the game.

all fighting games are shit. they are autism simulators that require perfect frames for reactions, so having even 1 or 2f lag is crippling. combine with jpn devs not knowing how to code and you get netlag 5f+ half the time and rollback or desynced bullshit. also, smash bros is not a fighting game. remove it from your image and remake the thread. stop playing fighting games, too. pick up some juggling balls since you liked tekken 10 years ago.

The closest "arcade" to me was a laundromat with one dusty Street Fighter 2 arcade and a bunch of spics gambling off of matches.
