As far as I can tell Steve always was planning on the Tenno being kiddos but there seems to have been some shift during the development of Second Dream and War Within to make them more relatable. Alerts have been replaced by Night Wave, a pirate radio station run by the radio DJ from The Warriors. instead of random missions with random rewards you now get daily and weekly challenges that get you Standing with Night Wave that you can use to buy loot that's actually valuable for once. The first story and set of challenges is "The Wolf of Saturn Six" which is about a prison break from one of the Grineer's maximum penitentiaries, lead by a prisoner called The Wolf.

Stalker back in the days was like the tenno, a complete mystery, he was not a tenno but was using a frame just like one. Then they revealed he was just some guard, not a high rank, an ordinary guard watching his home burning for no apparent reason except the fact that were the tenno, also stating that while you were in cryosleep, he was roaming the system, and thas was a lot of time to hunt tennos. This alone opened the plot around him too much wide for open interpretation, but since Alad V was "murdering" tennos to fulfill the Zanuka, not murdering frames but tennos and the "tragic" ends of some frames (this one is debatable, since the first prime access update everythin went towards the chinese audience) literally set in stone in some way that something alive, sentient and on its own was inside the frames and you´re using bad copycats of the originals where they failed miserably. But Stalker showed he KNOW who you are and he hunts you for your past and present crimes.

I stopped playing right after that arena event with the grineer chick that looks like the villain from the 5th Element, but i should have stopped by the Second Dream since it was another example of "Chinese discontinuity" (It happens when a sequel ignores the main events from early entries only to release a sequel to appeal to bugmen full of plot holes like Jurassic world, Pacific rim 2 and other blockbusters), in this case Stalker now doesn´t have a clue about the tennos despise hunting them for centuries and using a frame so he has to ask for help. He wanted revenge on the tenno but now it looks like he was awoken too, remembered what happened and said "Boy, i bet this mad machine knows how to kill them", and now he has acolytes who share his twisted views of the tenno, yes, now he´s a twisted fanatic instead of a one-army-crusader. And now here´s the real question: Where in Sol is Stalker sleeping? And now there´s plot holes everywhere. Why he calls to Hunhow for help? He already knows how the sleep tech works, How he made the frame? How he constructed the sleep pod by itself?

That´s why the old cool-kind-of-stupid lore worked somehow, frames were suits and he made his own for maximun tenno killing efficiency, simple and retarded but not pretendig to be 2deep4U.

I have to admit, I actually like this Nightwave overhaul. Nora Nig isn't obnoxious, and earning the cred means you can skip RNG bullshit and just buy your Nitain, or whatever Aura Mods are available that week, or even Vauban if you got brain damage and decided you wanted him. I appreciate the concept of Fortuna. People who owe the insane merchants money get sent to a labor camp to work it off, and so that the rich have peasants to lord over and exploit. The debt-repayment process is so rigged against them that many of them are forced to sell off their own limbs and organs just to repay a little of it while replacing it with cheap cybernetics to keep working–or being forced to buy those cybernetics to be able of working at all. A society of unwilling cyborgs is an interesting idea. But the execution is weird and unclear and doesn't really make much sense at all.

To elaborate on this: Since I think it's a great system, when you do bounties each part has a bonus objective. Like a defense objective taking no health damage or not letting the enemies capture any point; stuff that you'll probably accomplish normally if you're not a shitter. Fulfilling the objective gives you bonus standing and fulfilling all objectives gives you a second roll on the rare drop for that bounty.

Now I see why you think this. To explain for you and him: Those three prep missions are structured like bounties and there is a fourth which is the orb mom fight itself. What anon is talking about does not drop from orb mom herself, but instead her bounty. However all four of these bounties have these same drops at the same rarities. In particular you can speedrun the second bounty in about 2 minutes solo to farm these items.

Gonna clarify this as well. Toroids are materials used for some BPs, but also redeem for 1k standing at Vox Solaris (spider mom drops a different one that redeems for 6k). Fortuna has a wanted system not unlike GTA. If you're spotted a crewman may lay down a reinforcement beacon. As long as this beacon stays alive it raises your wanted level and constantly summons more powerful units with scaling levels not unlike a survival. This also increases the drop rates of Toroids. So it's like a Make-Your-Own-Survival to farm Toroids, but they only drop from specific locales so your options are actually fairly limited.

One small thing I'd like to add is that you no longer have to craft bait, but just buy it directly for standing. The new sentinel also gives you a permanent Luminous Dye effect, which is nice.

My own thoughts on this shit is that I do think they're improving, and it makes me interested to see what's in the next open world, but I also wish they didn't confirm the third one already and think they should pump the brakes on it. I would much rather see additional tilesets being made to freshen up the rest of the content and stuff like the Jupiter rework.

Oh, to correct myself you can indeed end up sitting on thousands of Standing, but have to twiddle your thumbs and wait for the daily reset. The quickest way to earn Standing is killing Orb Mom with a resource booster since the Crisma Toroid she drops can be doubled and you don't need an insane amount of them. So you can get all the Standing you need very quickly, but still have to wait to redeem it. That's easy enough to answer. The Tenno culture predates the Orokin war. Remember that during the Orokin Empire, Tenno strutted about and people respected them highly. They were above Dax soldiers.

The thing is, the Kids were never seen in public. Heck, the kids never saw themselves, the bodies sleeping in somatic pods. Their mind was fucked, jacked into a frame's body. When they "woke", Ballas and pals just told them that they were that body.

from that point onward, the Tenno trained and fought for the Orokin. They had Temples, training grounds, ceremonies, and even parades.

The Tenno everyone saw (including the Corpus and Grineer) were the Warframes, that's why barely anyone knows about their original body. How the Frame itself was made was Ballas little dirty secret and if my suspicions are right, he made a frame for Margullis, so when she "died", she was tranfered into that frame, the frame being the Lotus itself, but that's speculation since they might keep going with the "Lotus is a sentient" thing.

Likewise, the somatic pods and void kids were also a dirty secret that couldn't be made public. Why? Because unlike what >>16188847 the events that happened to the Zarimann were not accidental. It was planned and orchestrated by Ballas, a sort bait to coax some power from the void to touch the crew of the Zarimann.

One thing that is clearly stated was that he was extremely disappointed that only the kids survived. I'm pretty sure he wanted the adults as soldiers. But then one of the kids attacked him or a scientist working with him and he saw potential.

So, he hid them on Luna, and on Luna he made the first few frames. Then transference happened and voila, supper soldiers.

And I don't know why people keep missing this, but there's one major explanation for the Frames long-sleep. At some point, the sentients found out the truth about the Tenno. The Craddle in the Sky. Hunhow knew about it. So imagine a big fuckoff cannon pointed at the moon, ready to blow it up. Heck, it probabbly fired at least once, since half the moon is shattered. You also have the equivalent of sentient scouts going there. Lotus sees this, some part of Margullis in her wants to protect the kids. So she sends the entire fucking moon to the Void. However, maybe the Orokin themselves tried to destroy the Tenno, since it looks like Ballas sent Warframe/Tenno combos to kill the rest of them as he wanted to evolved as a Sentient.

Now imagine what this did to the Transference shtick. Imagine thousands of war frames everywhere across the system simply "powering down" where they were. Being scrapped/dismantled for parts. Awakening (since they were still alive), going on quests of madness and revenge (Inaro's, Titania, Umbra) until their mind died again and they stopped moving.

Also, imagine this: one frame, a lone Excalibur model suddendly powers down, loses the Tenno holding it's mind together. This is one hell of a pissed of excal, and like the few others, manages to wake up on it's own. It feels a terrible sense of loss, of anger (think Umbra, but x10). It wants to know why. It starts asking questions around. It finds only one answer: this Lotus character took something away from him. Also, he might still remember protecting the Orokin. He might remember being honored and treated well by Orokin society. And then remembers Tenno butchering his masters.

Honestly, the only thing where all of this hinges is the connection Ballas has with the Sentients. And WHAT THE FUCK he became now, after Umbra did a number on him.

The way her antimatter drop works is that is continually spreads out from the cast point. So with enough duration, it will keep spreading to huge sizes. Her 2 is intentionally slow because you need to shoot it for it to do any damage. The way it works is that it absorbs all friendly fire and then spits out around 10x that upon detonation, and in a pretty big radius even with negative range.

The only use for Ember now is using Fire Repellent, Quick Thinking, Javlok, Adaptation, Continuous Misery, and her passive (+damage +energy gain while on fire) so you can have a neat build all about safely burning yourself for constant energy gain.

Is it endgame viable? Not especially, but it gives her some sort of purpose and survivability. As much as I like Javlok, it sucks even with an ideal riven, so you're not losing out by having it modded poorly. You can use something else that does self damage and status but Javlok's reliable for this.

Remember, Invasions are hardly endgame. I just build for max power strength, including Energy Conversion, and efficiency. Strength is further enhanced by standing in fire when casting WoF and Invasions almost always have fire hazards. Tiles are generally small enough that the range doesn't matter, but when enemies die to WoF almost instanty range doesn't matter since you're bullet jumping through areas as fast as possible. I've found that energy drops are sufficient enough to sustain WoF for this content. Only frame I use pads for is Ivara w/ Primed Flow so I can Prowl an entire mission without stopping.

So far I feel like this is an improvement over the Alert system. Alerts were useful when first starting out but later on the only reason to play them was for the extra credits, blueprints, or Nitain, and I always felt like they were distracting me from other things like syndicate missions, bounties, and relic-popping. At least with Nightwave I'm given a bevy of time to do things. I like the little challenges, because I liked the per-mission affinity challenges they replaced (that didn't work half the time anyway). i do miss the bonus affinity but I'll live without.

The solution to nightwave is easy too. Make an easy nightwave that has less rewards but easier challenges so new players can still get stuff and feel like they are achieving a """challenge""" and make normal nightwave that is what we have now. When the season starts you pick which one you want. So new players may only get 15 ranks of standing to earn and its mostly credits and forma with a few lower tier cosmetics like the glyph and sigil for rewards. Then regular players will do normal nightwave and get all the current rewards. If you prestige in normal nightwave I've heard you end up with 700-800 credits. Let new player nightwave end up with half of that, so they can still get some potatoes and aura mods.

Grind is easy, the bullshit is the 20+ ways to grind. Credits are piss easy to get once you have a decent build on Neptune, endo starts becoming a bottomless well after a certain point, problem is that there are so many things to level.

I think I'd rather they just give two Dailies a day so that the lower-level players will have more points to work with so they can get their Nitain and Aura Mods faster and offer a bit more wiggle room. My view on Nightwave is that the Daily and Weekly challenges should be how most people approach it. It would be nice if it was possible to reach Rank 30 doing them, but only by working very hard at it and sticking to it. The Elite Weekly challenges on the other hand should be for veterans to allow them to speedrun that shit. DE seems to want this to be accessible to everyone–and it fucking well should be because it replaced Alerts–but as I've seen it described, Nightwave is far too "top-heavy" in the Elite Weekly challenges for that to be true.

You can get 15 nitain in a couple hours

Couple hours more a week later, and bump that up to 30 nitain or a fully built potato and 5 nitain

Me and an IRL friend duo'd it. I was Nekros with Phantasma and Rattleguts. Would have brought Catchmoon, but I needed cold kills. He was Nidus, no more needs to be said. Even without reliable corpse cutting we were still able to kill enough to keep air up in the 90s most of the time.

It does get rough after 40 minutes. By the last 5 to 10 minutes my Phantasma had fallen off too much to be useful, even with the CC. Magus Repair was super useful before the damage got too great and in the end I just followed my friend around in void mode so I wouldn't die and make him even more invincible.

Just be sure to not have shit range, I have a "squad" build on my nekros with 190% range or 47.5 mts range, of course this means you need either a nuker or a healer to reach 1 hour without problems

around the 45 min mark is when armor gets stupid high. pretty much nekros is needed for any type of survival longer than 30 mins. easily done with a nekros and one well geared person.

Trin/Nekros/def/dps is the ideal set up. Recruit chat has been saying limbo for defense, but I think Frost or Gara is better. Mesa is fine for dps but you'll want 3x corrosive projectionyou'd want this no matter who the dps frame was. Saryn just has more room for error I think. Doing it without life support is really a matter of how fast you can kill as the dps frame. So long as you kill fast nekros will get plenty of life support.

Easy mode? Two Nekros, one Nova, one whoever as long as they don't have CC that halts the killing at all (Limbo). Encourage everyone to bring slash weapons, the two Nekros ought to be doing it anyway if they have any sense. Slashed-apart corpses can be Despoiled twice. Glaxion also has this effect when leaving behind frozen corpses, but Glaxion is weak as shit. Using the kuva catalysts on the towers is acceptable, using the towers alone is NOT. Kuva harvesters, once complete, will give a small amount of life support as well as kuva.

As long as your weapons aren't shit and you all stay reasonably close together, you should now be able to finish this without ever dropping below 85% life support. This will complete both long survival challenges in one run.

Why not Hydroid instead of 2nd Nekros? Pilfering Swarm will either be weak as shit and cover a large area or be strong enough to actually kill but not cover a wide enough area. Weak tentacles make enemies take longer to kill, which makes it take longer for new spawns to replace them. Strong tentacles won't be wide enough to be better than another Nekros.

See the thing about oxium, and almost every other resource in the game before kuva and argon crystals, is that you could get a ton just by playing regular missions like void keys, sorties, etc. So I am fucking stacked with oxium. Yeah my mistake, I did manage to get the combos working, but I still cant get the blocking slam from baruuk exalted fists, it was pretty obvious when you slammed and pulled enemies in, guess it'll take a while to get used to this.

Scanned all the tedious scattered parts of a passcode, but now everybody else needs to do it so we can move on. There's a locked door with a special hacking sequence that's fuzzed out until we do. Throwing AoE attacks at the door, you can see some things on the other side throw up damage numbers, but not health bars, so like breakable objects but can take more damage than most. Using mining laser vision and scanning vision, I can see there's tons of gems clustered in one spot past the door and around a corner.

Above ground, where the underground map leads, there's a single building just past the edge of the map with 20+ fortuna bodies frozen in the snow leading up to it.

As for Opticor Vandal, a single speed mod is enough to make it more comfortable to use than regular opticor. Damage was overkill originally anyway so having lower base damage is whatever. Slow opticor meant you were basically just slowly sniping, and 99% of the game is shooting many many things.

On the plus side, it's almost pretty easy shit that can be done and forgotten in the span of an hour.

Also, for the Lua puzzle room challenge, if you find the Agility Test (the giant room with pipes you jump out of to shoot targets), you can clear that same puzzle over and over without going into the reward room. Each clear counts towards the Nightwave objective.
