If a small studio wanted to get in touch with them to make a new joint ops, they probably could. Issue is, game dev is rather expensive today and making something the scale of Joint Ops/Delta Force would be pricey and basically a AAA job if it is with modern graphics and such. Just because THQ Nordic bought something, don't expect a new game in that franchise any time soon. Some are more likely than others, ultra cult classics worshipped by a few thousand on imageboards are probably low priority. They get all these IPs whole sale and for 5 cents a pop, pretty much.

Destroy All Humans was pretty good satire, but the series has nowhere to go given the primary narrative goal of collecting human brains necessitates that the accomplishments of the prior games be made less relevant, the goalpost always moving farther away.
