Have video games ever influenced your interests in reality? Perhaps you are learning Japanese or you found a brand new hobby because a game brought it to your attention. I actually got into fighting (specifically combat Sambo) because of Abel in SSF4. I just thought that the mix of throws and strikes was the coolest thing and I actually found somebody who taught it. Any of you guys do something similar?

fighting games gave me interest in martial sports as well but sadly there are no gyms in my area and I'm probably too old to join up anyway. They've also given me some interest in firearms but that's an expensive hobby and I haven't bought my own gun yet and only gone shooting a handful of times with friends who do own, but I like watching videos about how guns are engineered and weird history behind certain firearms. Its neat the mindset behind making military platforms but also sad/funny when cheap shit is sent out infantry in the process

That's not a bad age to start. Training isn't some kind of fight club where you need to get the shit beat out of you every night. Training with new people is an opportunity for your opponent to teach and solidify the fundamentals. Trust me you won't be in the way. A couple years ago I would go against our top guy and have to tap out at around 20 seconds. Now I can go a three minute round without tapping and get a couple sweeps on him. No submissions yet, but an improvement nonetheless.

you're right, I guess what gets to my head is in a lot of stuff I've looked up for the next closest gyms available they say stuff like "we're a family here" and similar stuff and I don't really think I should be involved in anything like that, some one like me oughta keep to themselves but i'd still like to learn a skill. I think it's a good thing if you channel your autism into making positive changes to yourself. Like when I have to interact with normalfags I always have something interesting to say that I can discuss at length and they may have never heard of that I learned from vidya and they have no idea as a result I'm known in my normie groups as someone who "always has something fun to talk about", you'd be surprised how much random shit you've probably accumulated anons you'd be more surprised how many people would be impressed that you'd know something so seemingly inconsequential.

Spiritual journeys are, on the immense part, a subconsciousness training. A path of different patterns of tought, perspective and states of consciousness.
If you are on a catholic/christian path, you will strenghten yourself in the rituals, images and symbols of your religion (if the pratice is sincere, of course). It's no different in occultism and the like: to evolve, acquire new perspectives, new ways of thinking, of living, of feeling, you must immerse yourself with that ambient.
playing as a mage it's a simple way to bring that perspective on your reality. A very simplistic approach, of course, but it helps more than wasting time on the disco. It''s turning leisure into work in a soft/pleasing way.
