It varies, for example, N64 emulaton is done better through homebrew, but you won't notice

much difference with NES

Don't get a Wii Mini, afaik it's not possible to hack them. I've also been looking for a reccomended WAD

loader for the Wii, all of the ones im finding are old as hell and im not sure if they work.

for wads, just install them to the menu.

the virtual console is notorious for being shit-tier for emulation, see kirby adventure for example with the colors looking extremely dim, only worthwhile is the n64 virtual console since n64 emulators have poor accuracy, real n64 controllers are almost unusable due to the joystick durability being shit-tier.

I also recommend getting some kind of rechargeable battery pack as a replacement for batteries.

The Wii U is a superior option for modern displays but it's a fucking Wii U

You will, the VC NES emulator softens and darkens the image pretty significantly. Loading through FCEUX gives much better results. Rodea the Sky Soldier is Nights into Dreams meets Shadow of the Colossus and is one of the best games on the system.

I primarily use mine to play Gamecube games. Many of the N64 games I want to play don't work properly, which is a shame. I barley ever play actual wii games.

I'm able to run Brawl at 720p60fps upscale through dolphin with a low range 2016 build. The problem you might run into instead would be with stuff much higher and all the extra fidelity options. Aside from that, it runs very well

How is the online situation? The Conduit had decent weapons that made use of the controller, like the pistol and the laser rifle. Glitching the guns to shoot rocket missiles out of a sub-machine gun was hilarious to abuse too. Shame about that shitty sequel though.

MKWii has a lot of people on it with wiimmfi. Brawl has some, and the Conduit has support on wiimmfi, but not a lot of people play. Something that we could do as a thread is have gamenights where we play a multiplayer wii game that's up through mmfi.
