New season will feature a new map and two operators from Australia. The attacker can deploy a gadget that spreads a whole net of damaging barbed wire, and the defender can take control of your drones by shooting spiders. Even Twitch drones aren't safe.
GRIDLOCK - ATTACKER:
>1 speed/3 armor
>Primary: F90 AR/M249 LMG (uses a 60-round quadstack mag for faster reloads as opposed to Capitao's magazine well)
>Secondary: Super Shorty Shotgun
>Gadget: Smoke Grenade/Breaching Charges
>can throw a Trax Stinger which when it lands starts deploying clusters of defender-damaging spikes in a circle, it spreads a lot of them
>you get three of these
>stepping on one deals 10 damage per tick as a defender, you can easily destroy them with your guns or with explosives, meleeing them will still damage you however
>you can also shoot the central Trax Stinger while it is spreading pizza to halt its spreading
>basically you can't get past these without making some noise, or you'd have to take another route when roaming
MOZZIE - DEFENDER:
>2 speed/2 armor
>Primary: Roni Automatic Pistol/Command-9 AR
>Secondary: Super Shorty Shotgun
>Gadget: Barbed Wire/Nitro Cell
>has a crossbow which fires spiders that can assume direct control of attacker drones, even Twitch drones
>you get two spiders
>you can take control of a drone by directly shooting a spider at it, or by shooting a spider on a surface where it functions like a trap which will catch drones in its range, you can also pick up spiders to shoot them again
>drones display a warning on their HUD if a spider is nearby
>traitor drones are marked so your teammates know to not shoot them, and they have a blue tint so attackers know that drone is a traitor
>IQ can detect traitor drones anyways and Dokki hacks can temporarily disable Mozzie from controlling traitor drones
>traitor drones will start losing connection if they go outside and are lost for good if they stay outside for too long
>Mozzie can not pick up drones
>defenders will have to be more careful with their drone game
More general changes:
>Ash loses the ACOG for her R4-C
>Maverick has increased swap time between his torch and weapons
>Dokki calls now automatically end after 18 seconds, and being or walking into the range of Mute's jammers automatically ends the call
>Capitao's bolt now have increased area of effect, but have reduced damage per tick (19 to 12), also fire and smoke from his bolts can't pass through objects anymore
>Lesion's Gu tick damage has now been halved (8 HP to 4HP per tick)
>Breaching Charge deployment animation is faster and damage on Attacker's side has been reduced, while on the Defender's side the damage has been increased (but the area of effect reduced)
FUTURE CHANGES:
>big Lion nerf: his drone will only display the position of enemies as pings instead of wallhacks, and the UAV active time has been reduced to 2 seconds while the UAV warning time has been reduced to 1 second, nevertheless Lion gets back 3 charges
>Glaz's thermal scope will only mark enemies as yellow if he's standing still
>deployable shields will cover the entire doorway and have one-way glass panels in them to see what's happening on the other side, like mini Mira mirrors
>there will be a new friendly fire system where if you exceed a certain threshold of damage dealt against teammates, the damage will instead be sent back to only you
>Blitz is going to get nerfed by increasing the time it takes for him to ADS, and by combating lean spam
>tiered renown costs for older ops, Y1 ops will cost 10k, Y2 ops will cost 15k, and so on
>new ops will include one US Secret Service op, one from Denmark, one from Mexico, one from Peru, one from India, and one from Kenya
>Kanal, Kafe, and Theme Park will get reworks
>the pick 'n ban 'Road to S.I.' mode will remain permanent (at the start of each round both teams get to ban one attacker+defender from being picked, 7 maps, bomb only, longer defuser arming times, you play three rounds consecutively in the same role only to switch roles in the fourth round)
