This is a new low, even for resetera.
Resetera is a forum that usually goes after the JP games requesting them to be censored, or pressuring localization houses to "fix" the problem in translation, or organize witchhunts after the game.
It does help that they have most of San Mateo, and a lot of Treehouse figures as part of their forum goers, which they frequently call out whenever a problematic game hits those console stores.
They did go after the Subnautica sound designer and Tim Soret (The Last Night) and Koichi Sugiyama (DQ composer) but those were mostly Western developers and the slight was over political tweets with wrongthink. There was the GOG PR guy who they doxxed using data from the official GOG promotion forum account at resetera, and an admin admitted to that much on twitter before erasing proof.
But trying to get a game developer fired over scenes in games (where the fushoji and "traps and lgbt are a sacred class with no human flaws that everyone should have sexual attraction to") by construing them as wrongthink is a new low.
Light is the best deinfectant. My suggestions:
1/ Get the whole Persona 5 fanbase on the case.
Expose this.
A website that's trying to make your favorite games disappear altogether and make the next Kojima scandal.
2/ Contact Atlus Japan through mail and twitter.
Send them a comprehensive account of resetera, kotaku, and their history of feuds against game developers and their job stability (send them their promotion of the current SJW-outreach union attempts to get the Activision CEO fired for the layoffs that only affected PR and HR, nothing like that to make the higher ups understand who's next in line after Hashino)
Tell them how they have been saying it's a problem the localization head for Persona 5 (their best seller) is still in his job because the translation is "too accurate" and not like Tokyo Mirage Sessions (their bomba and PR disaster) which they think is the best localization ever.
Send them resetera's topics how Persona 5's oppression isn't real because their protagonists aren't trans or PoCs and that makes the game offensive in a way.
Send them the list of sites (Kotaku, Polygon, Eurogamer) signal boosting their shit, so that they don't make the mistake of doing ANY sort of interview with them. Tell them that Hashino's quote in a JP interview he's happy he can do in Catherine Full Body what he couldn't eight years ago, was twisted like this by resetera (this one is the ultimate proof they are an enemy of their creative freedom):

Tell them how they comment that games and content like these should be gone. Get them a nice list of forum posts with everything there, annotated if need be to show how relevant the link is.
Tell them corporations like Sony and Nintendo who they have relationships with have these people in their midst sabotaging them and cooperating with a crazy inconsistent mob who really requests things, doesn't get them and start to ask for managers to fire people, but a mob they are fooled into giving much thought because they cloak their demands with sacred political buzzwords.
Tell them ```their own USA branch``` has people who frequent the resetera forums and help with similar controversies.
Tell them the 8-4 localization house director is a moderator in that forum who often helps directly in these firing witch mobs.
Most importantly, get as much proof of the above documented with names.
4/ Tell them their success with Persona 5 and Treehouse's success with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Square Enix's success with Octopath Traveler, their localization method changes which pleased fans and brought money for JP voice acting DLCs (that no longer afforded localizers to hide changes), that the favorite characters in either games (Kamoshida's arc, Pyra/Homura, and Primerose) as sales and customer poll data showed worldwide, was among the first things resetera was deeply upset by, to the point they included in their petition to atlus japan a bullet point to replace the current head of localization from Japan, and leave free reign to the USA staff "as things were before", before that shift, in a time where the editor responsible for much of the negative unpopular changes in Fire Emblem Fates was hired by Atlus USA, causing harm to the Treehouse brand (so much they outsourced Gaiden to 8-4, but underpromoted it) and indirectly the Atlus brand since customers were apprehensive of preordering Persona 5 since they didn't know if it would make it intact at all (or not missing entire arcs like Tokyo Mirage Sessions).
5/ Tell them this crazy mob is trying to get personal private information about Hashino-san with the intent to harm his employment and his private life, and is trying to do so ireespecuous of his decision to leave it out of his work, and that they are the sort of people who would do stalking/doxxing things like that, illegal in Japanese law just to maximize how much harm they cause.
Tell them about journalists that make most of resetera's active users, and how they take suggestions there how to attack games. And which Western journalists they should avoid. Give them a comprehensive list. Kotaku (even Kotaku Japan) for example.
6/ Tell them this site is trying to tell game localizers of their game to double cross them to please the witch mob instead of anything controversial, and that they are trying to tar the game's reputation using their network of game journalists out of spite for not being catered to.
Tell them the Erica controversy is insane and unhinged because transgenders going through operations they are not okay with (which is what resetera demands Atlus should do here) is something the United Nations and mainstream places criticize Japan for in the law for recognizing gender changes. Give them offended SJW comments from those places to reuse here for why the proposed cuts are out of fear/preference by localizers, and might make the situation actually bad in the mainstream. (cucked argument, but as long as it works)
7/ Tell them that some modders tried to fix Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Fire Emblem Fates and that the same angry mob and their journalists like Kotaku got personal information for team members and tried to bully them or accuse them of being alt-righters to drive out of employment, simply because they want them to stop.

Currently, for reasons I do not quite understand Atlus is willing to leave money on the table in order to keep Persona 5 Sony only. It makes no sense to me, even a lazy PC port would make them a lot of money.

The west makes up the overwhelming majority of the Japanese consumer base at this point while the japanese bury themselves in mobile and shift away from consoles. Atlus is no longer as niche as they once were, titles like Persona 3, 4, and now 5 has really thrust them into the mainstream and Joker's inclusion in Smash Ultimate will elevate that status anymore.
There was recently a japanese interview where a lot of the motivation behind this Atlus remake was about "Diversity" and "Diversity in love" which corresponds with why Rin is a trap.
You cannot ignore this encroaching reality and stick your head in the sand for much longer.

And Naoto grows to accept her femininity without sacrificing her dream of being a great detective.

That's not the whole truth. The entire idea is based off of Jungian archetypes. On some level Kanji has a sense of self that's gay, on some level Rise wants to vivaciously be given attention like a stripper, but those are just "shadows" of the main personality, not "main" components. Accepting those as a possible part of yourself, but not letting them define you, is the entire point of the Jungian archetype.

That's really up for debate as the game goes out of it's way to remove his sexuality from the equation as you progress his social link. Pre-abduction yes Kanji thinks he's gay and Naoto being a reverse trap didn't help that.
Kanji's chief concern is being an outcast, his hobbies got him picked on by girls and his constant fighting got him outcast from the community at large. So his Shadow insisting that he's gay is nothing more than a perversion of his insecurities over having feminine hobbies and his reluctance to accept that maybe he really is queer as he's been called in the past. Those past insults and his fear of not being seen as manly fuel the buff oiled up body builders. What Kanji ultimately had to accept is that he liked "girly" and "cute" things. Not that he's attracted to men.
How you approach his post dungeon dialogue and SL colors whether or not you think he swings both ways or not. I think like a lot of teenagers he was questioning his sexuality because he couldn't separate his hobbies from his orientation. That gets straightened out no pun intended as you get a bit older and interact with more people.

I think it was more the engligh VA making some comments that people ran with and never double checked. And P4 attracted a lot of people who never bothered to play the game but gravitated towards the characters and general story so some ideas about the plot got perpetuated by that portion of the fandom.
