He reveals he's Thomas Mutton and the mastermind the nightmares, and says that Rin is imprisoned by him because Rin was trying to prevent his plan from succeeding by helping the nightmare participants to succeed (Rin plays the piano in the nightmares, which slows the fall of the blocks, and apparently helps motivate the sheep). Vincent challenges Mutton, and in the nightmare they fight, same as the final boss of the last game. Vincent wins, and reunites with Rin. The next day, all is well and Rin and Vincent live happily ever after.
…Then Rin casually brings up that he is an alien (known to humans as an angel) and was sent with the goal of stopping Mutton's nightmares.
