Got a source for that? It wouldn't be out of line for them to do so, or for China to get pissed about it. I also have to question what they are doing that is any different from the musou games, which are supposedly somewhat popular in China. Those games had female characters as playable, it didn't really act like they were generals, though.

On a note about the game, the current type of gameplay they use would not fit the setting/book at all. Its a major point that a lot of the people in the major players in the lead up to the three kingdoms worked with one another at one point or another and liked poaching generals off of each other or smaller powers. The later part of three kingdoms was more internal politics and backstabbing bullshit; if you take that out, that entire portion of the has no appeal because of how much of a one sided battle it is depicted as once Zhuge Liang dies. The stuff that I've seen from them does not support either the lead up to the Three Kingdoms or the Three Kingdoms proper.
