I waited for MGSV ever since Ground Zeroes was teased; Kojima puts out a trailer as soon as he has two character models and a background to put them on, so tbf, I expected this game to come out 2021 at the absolute earliest. Kid of a hack, but at least he's a habitual hack that you can anticipate.

I can agree with MGS being fun, but 4 and 5 had flaws. Especially 5, but it's not Kojima's fault so I will skip that.
4 had lots of cutscenes but shorter game. The gameplay in 4 was excellent, and finally seeing different atmospheres and environments in one game is a great choice. Middle East, Jungle, Europe, Ship. But they also ruined the gameplay with these shitty gimmicks like following someone, Car chase etc. They added lots of non MGS stuff. As if the gameplay wasn't short enough already. That kinda ruined the game for me. but I also can't deny that cutscenes were my favourite part of MGS4, seeing characters from previous games was exciting.
4 got critised a lot but despite from all of those, it was still a remarkable game.
